Be wary
Be wary if you want to play this course. The Owner will lie to your face and be hateful about it when it was their oversight that caused the problem. If they would have been apologetic about it I might be going back. But as hateful as the owner was to a LONG time member, I will tell everyone not to go there. Customer service is just lip service here. Their word means nothing.
Timber Trap will eat your lunch
Lovely course. One of the few places not trying to take all your money for the tee time. Word to the wise, make some pars before reaching the Timber Trap.. you’ll need a buffer for the incoming bogeys. P.S. leave driver in bag on 18, you’re not covering the water on the second shot!
Hidden Gem
First time playing Timber Lakes. Drove from St. Charles county, MO. The course is in great shape, and the layout is really cool, especially the back nine. The greens were in amazing condition. And Reese working in the clubhouse is super sweet. If you get the chance, play this course. Very good value and worth the drive.
Nice layout - good value at $30
Thi course is okay - tee blocks were barely okay;bunkers were void of sand and ad rocks - not really playable; fairways and rough were decent. Overall, a rural public course pretty good for his area.
Free for all
This could have been fun but right from the start
There were no golf carts, no starter, 1 person inside
Checking people in, doing food, drinks everything
Front 9 went fairly quickly back 9 not so lucky-?3 new groups just jumped in front of us. Definitely a free for all, no structure on the course at all. Frustrated we left after 4 hours and 15 hole’s played
The track has gone downhill
Tee boxes looked like they had not been mowed in two weeks, greens weren’t rolled. Over grown rough. Pretty rough condition for it being spring. Oh and 5 dollars per seltzer is a little much.
Enjoyable level of difficulty
Only draw back was several groups of 5 in front of us so a lot of waiting.
Nice course
Greens were wonderful for late fall. Cut nice very green. A few fairways were little brown but it was November 1. Had to be accepted in Midwest. Definitely go back again
Absolute dog track.
A 4 1/2 star rating is beyond absurd. No grass in the fairways. It’s 80% hardpan out there. Greens were a good 1/4 inch tall. It’s unplayable in its current condition. As a course operator you have 1 job; try to make it perfect. If it takes hand watering, that’s what you do. With the prices these courses charge, I expect everything that is possible to be done. No excuses. Do your job
Fun day at Timber Lakes
I've played the course before and it's a nice track which is why I keep coming back. The course is well maintained and a nice layout. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I'd recommend trying it out; I'll definitely play there again.
