Great Course
This place is fantastic, immaculate shape. The staff was super friendly and the course is always tough, especially the last 4 on the back. The only slight concern, it's not GHIN rated, so if that matters to you, it may not be for you, but it's a great place to play.
Fun Challenge
The course is always in good shape and offers a real contrast between Links and Parkland style golf on the front and back 9. Worth the drive!
Course was in great shape
Conditions were excellent, course is very well maintained. Challenging but fun layout, saw plenty of wildlife, pace of play was great. Not a bad word to say about the course. My play however, thats a different story.
back 9 very challenging
Well kept course, better dial in your swing on front 9 - back nine gets challenging. Fun course!
Timber Lakes Golf Course
Given it was a cloudy cold day and a very limited amount of golfers, there were leaves all over the greens and fairways and no one working the course. If a winter rate was available, the conditions would have been acceptable. Again I understand that due to the lack of golfers, it was not cost effective to have workers. Offer a winter rate.
Bad shape
The course needs some TLC. Any shot hit off the fairway and the next time you were hitting off deadpan 75% of the time. Even the fairways were burnt out. It hasn't been that dry in the area so I'm not for sure what exactly the issue is. The greens were in decent shape but if you're charging $58 on the weekend the course should reflect that. Otherwise, drop the price.
On top of that (and this isn't just a Timber Lakes problem) they need a course Ranger to speed up play. We got stuck behind a slow 5 some and what should have been a 3 1/2 hour round turned into 4 1/2 hours. 5 somes are a joke unless you've got 5 people who can play or you're scrambling. These people were doing neither.
Greens a little shaggy
The greens were a little shaggy. Seems like they needed to be cut. Several of the tee boxes, it was almost impossible to put the tee in the ground.
