Second hole, par-3, 182 (blues). A challenging tee shot, yet the hole becomes tougher when you land a good distance from the pin. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/21/2023

Fourth: The number 3 index, this par-4 or 424 will test your skills from tee to cup. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/21/2023

The par-3 ninth plays 197 yards from the blues. Its green is positioned and shaped like a Redan hole, but without the right-to-left cant. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/21/2023

The twelfth is named “Double Plateau” for its green, which means that the putting surface actually has three elevations. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/21/2023

The fourteenth, a par-4 of 418 with water on the left, is named “Plead,” and you may well find yourself begging it for mercy before putting out. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/21/2023

18th, par-4, 458: You’ll need to commit to your full swing (twice) to play a hole tagged with the name “Trust In.” Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/13/2021

16th: The short par-3 of 170 lives up to its moniker: “Fortress.” It’s green complex is built like one. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/13/2021

An earlier, summertime picture taken of the first hole, called “Road Out,” gives a glimpse of a green sided by a road (behind) and a pesky pot bunker. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/13/2021

The sixth–a.k.a. the “Red Oaks”--is index 13, but will still present a few problems enroute to a drive-and-pitch par. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/13/2021

“Timberlake” is hole seven, and the hole is all about avoiding the trees and playing some tricky angles from tee to green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/13/2021

Great shape
Very nice challenging course. Fairways and greens in great condition. No water hazards. I must play
Great course except those BUnKeRS ...
The course was in overall great shape besides the bunkers. The bunkers were not well maintained at all. There were rocks the size of my fist in some of them. At least I only had to hit out if one bunker during my round. Pace of play was great and staff was super friendly. I would definitely recommend !
Needs TLC
Challenging track; front 9 in good shape but the back 9 is getting dried out. The 15th hole needs some grass. The sand traps are filled with rocks - not much sand.
Slow golfers paradise
Nice course but 5 hour rounds on Sunday morning is unacceptable. Cart girl came out with no ice in the beer compartment.
Would play more often but rounds are pricey for the conditions and pace of play needs improvement.
Great course in great shape
fairways and greens in great shape as well as the tee boxes. rain the night before so the bunkers were compacted but otherwise good.
rough not too high, but some areas with purposely high fescue, but never so much that is is impossible to play.
Always reliable for a good day of golf
As usual, excellent! Only complaint was the bunkers. Used to be conditioned well, but lots of oversized rocks in all of them
Play this course.
This was my first time playing Oxford Greens. I've had it on my radar for a while, and finally decided to make the 1:20 drive. I wasn't disappointed. I'm not sure what other people who wrote reviews are talking about when they say the tees were terrible. The Tees were great. Barely any divots. Smooth and flat. Fairways and greens were great as well. My only beef was with the bunkers. They are pretty rocky. A lot of small pebbles scattered among the sand. Other than that, the course was great. Visually, this course has a lot of really pretty holes.
I was the first person out at about 7am, so I played quickly and had nobody in front of me. Being the first person out on a course is the only way to go if you consistently play as a single.
I would definitely recommend this course to other players. If you're coming from the Westchester (New York) area, it's worth the drive. Not as good as someplace like Mansion Ridge. Probably closer to someplace like Hudson Hills, but probably a little better than that? Fix the pebbles in the bunkers and this would be a 5 star review instead of 4 stars.
Loved this place.
Great Weather Start Of Summer
Great course and tee boxes great shape and greens. Fairways great shape as well. Traps need work. Over not a easy course. Tuff pin placements. A lot of blind shots. This course plays with a draw.
Course has some challenging holes and it helps to play this course a few times because there are bunkers placed in the fairways that you cannot see from the fairway, plus greens have some major undulations, thus you don't want to be on the wrong side of the green as a 2 putt may be impossible . Also, some of the bunkers are borderline while some others are entirely unplayable due to there not being adequate sand, plus rocks, not pebbles, in them. Overall, the course was in good shape and the pace of play was ok, 4 hours 15 minutes for 18.
Rowdy and Extremely Rude Golfers
The foursome directly in front of me (9:21 AM) were a disgrace to be on any golf course. They tee’d off on the very first hole while the group in front of them was looking for their tee shot in the right rough only a couple of hundred yards in front of the first tee. They were laughing about it at the time. I have played golf for 40+ years and never seen golfers act like them. They wore their golf hats backwards, played from the Blue tees and every time we came up to the tee behind them they were barely in the fairway and most times looking for balls less than 100 yards from the tee. They had no right playing from the blue tees. On the back nine, I don’t remember the hole my threesome had all three balls about 150 yards from the green as we waited to hit. One of the young men in the group decided to walk from the green all the way to us at the 150 markers in a rage. He was yelling at the top of his lungs and clearly was in an out of control rage accusing us of hitting up on them. He then accused us of calling the clubhouse to report them for slow play which we never did. He threatened us not to do it again and then walked all the way back to the green to finish the hole while we waited the whole time.
First, we never hit up on them. We waited until they were on the green on the par 4’s and were clearly out of range on the par 5’s. He told a ranger that we hit one to 6 feet from where they were. I have been in golf long enough to know that occasionally someone may hit a much longer drive than usual and it’s possible that it might ROLL up to them. Never did a ball that we hit come close to landing anywhere near them. He also claimed that they were waiting on every hole which they clearly were not. There was a hole open in front of them at times. Most times as I mentioned, we came to the tee to find them 100 yards away looking in the woods for balls.
I will probably not play at Oxford Greens again.
I haven't played this course in a while. I remember it being much better condition. The tee boxes were pretty beat up. A lot of divots in the fairways that were not taken care of.
Course is worn out and not kept up
Bunker last washed out, rocky, no sand. Can use them. Have to pull ball out and hit. Drainage is poor - always wet. Tee boxes are not kept up. Lots of wear and no repair apparent. A lot of money for a shabby course ($49).
Memorial Day Golf
Golf course went down hill little. Greens great shape..Fairways great shape. Tee boxes need work. Over all it's great track. Tuff for beginner golfers. Slow round all day. Always backed up. Need a ranger to pick up the pace.
Traps have been Ignored...unplayable
I look forward to playing this course a couple times a year....not sure what is going on but the traps are absent of sand....have fist sized rocks and bee's making nexts in them. The tee boxes are pretty well beat up.
I'm not sure if its been lack of maintenance or memebership decline but this is a great course that needs some TLC....
Not that easy
Other than the somewhat slow play in front of my group, I was pleased with the courses playability. I had a tough day overall but course allowed me to regain some shots in some spots. If I were to get a similar deal to the one I got today, I would definitely try to come back and play it again
