The Golf Club At Oxford Greens

I realize its early season, but this course needs some serious work and has for a few years now. Tee boxes are in terrible shape, many areas overgrown with weeds and the areas around the greens and fairways in rough shape. Apparently, players here also don't seem to like to fill their divots. Fairways hacked up as a result. Bunkers are also rough.

For the amount of money being charged, it should be better maintained. It was a beautiful course in the past, but the conditions continue to deteriorate while the greens fees increase.

Always a fun round in link setup although not near water. Flowing between homes course was good but off its best years ago

Could be better priced charging like pound ridge prices on weekend. But overall a great course and will be better through the year

Course is a little off its best condition from years ago but still one on the better public’s in Lower Connecticut. Fast greens, good fairways and tee boxes.

Great place to play. Aome challneges, auch as diatance, bunlers and water hazards, which makes it fun.

Bunkers are much better than years past. Greens are great. Fairways in good shape. Rough is neglected in certain areas. Tee boxes are beat up and could use top dressing and seed.

Course was a swamp - fairways, cart paths, aprons…not sure what’s going on with the drainage here. Early season round was $75, peak season it goes to $105 which is simply laughable for this course. Even $75 is kind of pushing it. Starter, no ranger, notorious for 5+ hour rounds as this is a long course and numerous hackers decide to play on a Saturday. Course is basically built on the side of a hill. This course used to have some allure many years ago, but not any longer.

The bunkers are atrocious, the restaurant is never open. It was masters Sunday, we would have probably spent 500 per person yesterday, but they never have staff. Hire more people and run the course how it should be run.

Played Oxford annually for about 10 years. Hopefully the course conditions were more a matter of early spring and be corrected as season goes on. Sadly the tee boxes, particularly on par 3 and short par 4s are a mess and need considerable work.

Always enjoy Oxford Green. A little cold and windy this morning and wet after all the rain. However, despite the early season course was is decent shape and greens were rolling well.

While you might read my rating for The Golf Club at Oxford Greens and conclude that the course is not a good one, the wet conditions on the date I played really impacted our round. I think Oxford Greens is one of the better public courses in Connecticut. However, wet conditions and paying $75 in March (when the greens and fairways were soaked) ultimately led to my poor review. Management should take course conditions (cart path only, slow pace of play) and price the round accordingly.

No water on the course( STILL on the covid thing?) Ridiculous. No beverage cart, no refreshment stand.

And, here's one for the suggestion box.. when your greens are aerated, let the players know during the booking process. Bunkers look like they haven't been raked in weeks, hard pan mud.

Other than that, we all know this is a great course and a fabulous layout

Oxford Greens was in great shape, but the pin placements were brutal. One of the hazards of booking by yourself is you play with strangers. The starter made a poor decision and made me give up my cart and ride with a difficult person. This completely compromised my round. Too bad, because the course was great.

Course is in good condition with good variety .

Pace of play very slow..took over 5 hours!
