Falcon Lakes Golf Course

Course was great. GolfNow fees added $5 to what a regular weekday Senior rate would be. Better to just call the course.

This is a golfers course. Wide open fairways but it has some holes with significant elevation change to break up any potential monotony. The layout is excellent and keeps the pace of play up. The price is a little higher than average but for that the course is well maintained and the carts have some of the most comfortable seats I’ve been in. There’s no GPS in the carts themselves which keeps it out of a 5 star for value for me. Overall I would highly recommend this course for high handicappers and low handicappers looking for a nice leisurely day on the golf course.

Bad round due to course condition. The staffs never told say nothing about aerification the green and the are pumpee and front 9 were closed.

I’ve played for years, but this year I started playing at least once a week and found Falcon Lakes online. No one in our foursome had ever played here so I was going solely based off of reviews and photos. I loved this course. The grounds were in fantastic shape. Best fairways I’ve played in KC. The ONLY issue I had was a threesome, all in their own carts riding up behind us, and pushing us to speed up. The Marahal said one of the guys complained all the time so they must have been locals living in the course. We had to let them play through. But overall, very glad I played here and look forward to the next time.

I’ve played at Falcon Lakes many times. The course is always in great condition. My only complaint this time is that the greens were in extremely rough shape compared to usual. The rest of the course was in excellent condition.

I love this course, it is always in great shape. A couple frustrations though yesterday; when we checked in, the Clubhouse did not tell us they were starting on 10. Then when we made the turn to 1, a different foursome jumped in front of us. Clubhouse said that they were playing in a league later so we’re just getting in a few holes. A few holes turned out to be 6 and jammed up the course.

One of the areas important to me is pace of play. Excellent. Finished is less than 4 hours - a foursome. Greens and fairways were in great shape. My new favorite local course.

Drove 100 miles to play here! Got so Drunk I Passed Out in My Car! Maintenance Woke Me Up before They Went Home! Whew Sure Was Fun! 50 Years ago I did the same thing! I Still Got it!

Awesome course within 30 minutes of KC or Lawrence area!

Initial impression, I got there with about 10 minutes to spare before me tee-time, so I didn’t have a chance to check out all of the clubhouse or practice facilities, but the front counter staff pointed me in the correct direction and explain who I’d be playing with, since they group you together if you aren’t in a group of 4. Super friendly experience from the club staff and the gentlemen I played with were a perfect reflection on how this course is run. Repairing divots, ball-marks and cart rules were expected to be followed.

The course is a par 72. It offers super score able holes in the front with a couple of short par 3’s and short par 5’s. It does get more challenging on the back with dogleg par 4’s which require a great tee-shot to score birdie.

Overall, the staff, hospitality, course, carts and facilities were all great. I highly recommend golfers of any skill level to take a trip out to Basehor to play this course!
