Great bargain, very slow play
We played New Albany Golf course and really liked the course. Shop staff was very friendly. Only major downsides was the pace of play and the lack of hole number signs on tee boxes. Some holes had them and some didn’t. Will play again. Amazing bargain
Excellent Course - Fairways a Bit Rough
Played this course on a very nice cloudy day. Staff was super friendly and helpful Cost of the round very reasonable.
I'd recommend using a colored golf ball because the fairways and rough had a lot of flowering clover on them. The white flowers mad finding a white golf ball very challenging! Added some entertainment and frustration to the game.
Overall a very nice place to play and I"ll stop by again if traveling in the area.
Good price on golf now
In bad need of mowing. Clover in fairways made it hard to find ball. Tee box needed mowing. Could be a fun course if it was maintained better.
Great Course
I personally love the course, I may love it more if I could bring my own beer! Overall a great place to learn and I’ll be back again and again!
Fine 9 hole course
This is a fine little 9 hole course. Challenging layout for a municipal course. Staff was super friendly, conditions were tough but it has been wet lately. Would definitely go back, good value.
Closed
We booked online and cost us five dollars only to find out that the course was closed when we got there. And we couldn’t get our money back.
Nice course
A good course and a good value. A couple of challenging holes
Place of play
Never in my life have a left a round earlier until i played here. Paid for 9 and only played 3 holes before the place of play was so pathetic. I finally gave in on playing through people
a fun course
it's a fun place to play the greens was in r good shape the fairway was a little tall but they had a lot of rain recently and was out mowing trying to get it cut it's not a country club course but a fun public course with a good lay out it's a fun place to play will be back again
Course with history!
First off. All the reviews I’ve read of poor staff and course I’d need a explanation. The course has just turned 100 years old! The gentleman working give me a full run down of the course and history. That’s never happened at any course I’ve played. Very nice guy!! With the history of the course it played very well. The course has a confusing lay out but was very well explained at the club house. The greens were slow but I like slow so that’s NOT a complaint. Only really thing this course needs is a bit better markings at each hole and along the way to get you pointed in the right direction. Will definitely be back to play again.
Fall Ball
This is one of my favorite "fall" courses. I love playing this course during the fall time of the year. Though I was a bit early this year, I'll be back when the leaves change. The greens were in great shape, but a little slow. I thought it was because it was a dewy morning and they must've watered the night before, but the staff told me that the greens mower had broken down the Thursday before (I went on a Saturday). I had a younger golfer with me, so it kind of helped his putting game (he wanted to pound everything). A few other golfers asked me where to find the next hole when beginning #5, so maybe a sign needs to be added to the area where 5 and 9 meet. You can't beat this course for the price you pay.
This is the worst course in southern Indiana
First off this goat ranch of a course shouldn’t even be on golf now. The course layout is atrocious with barely any signs indicating where to go and no map. This is one of the only courses I know where you can hit middle of the fairway and lose your ball. The rough is ankle high so good luck finding anything in there as well. There were several times where we would find other golfers balls that they couldn’t find on our hole. The tee boxes were absolutely horrible, and it felt like you were slanted for most shots off the tee. We paid for 18 but didn’t even make it through 9, I wouldn’t recommend this course to anyone even my worst enemy.
