Great golf course
Greens are usually fast and in excellent condition. They do an incredible job managing the pace of play - slow play drives me nuts, and I don’t recall ever having to wait to hit a shot. The practice facilities are very nice, would be perfect if they had a bunker or two for sand shots. The only downside is the price can be on the high side (upwards of ~$100 to ride 18 depending on the day) but that’s true for many nicer courses these days. Clubhouse has been renovated over the last year or two and is super nice, food is great as well.
Hello and thank you for your 5-star rating! We're delighted you enjoyed your round. Please book another round with us soon, and thanks for choosing Towhee Club!
Highly over priced.
New owners act like they own a golf course up in Brentwood. Greens are still suffering from winter kill and they are charging $100. They never adjust price to course conditions which this course has a history of poor drainage and winter kill. They take advantage of golfers in the area because of the lack of options. If you don’t want to drive 30-40 minutes you’re stuck paying these ridiculous prices.

Better than what it used to be
When it was Kings creek you paid the same amount and I was always dissatisfied with the conditions for what we paid. Now the clubhouse is unbelievable with the bar especially and the conditions of the course get better everytime. It has the potential to be one of the better courses in the middle TN area for sure. I think my rating could be 5 stars in the next couple years. They have definitely brought this course back to life.

Great Course
Overall great course, would be nice to have a ball wash machine somewhere throughout the course. Also would be nice to be able to ride the cart back to your car to unload instead of having to carry everything

Needs some heat.
Staff and pace of play was great. The course just needs some heat. The fairways and greens are still coming in.
Thank you for your review, acorona01. We will pass along your positive experience and feedback to our team at Towhee Club. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Hi, u314163859108. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your time at Towhee Club. We look forward to seeing you on the course soon for another 5-star experience!
The course was rough, especially the fairways. I understand with the flood and cold weather this year took a toll on the course, but hopefully in the next year or so it will recover and be a course that’s worth the cost. Way too expensive for the condition of the course. Had lunch after the round and the food was very good.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced due to the rough condition of our course, which was indeed affected by the recent flood and cold weather. We appreciate your understanding and hope to welcome you back in the future to show you improvements. Also, we're glad to hear that you enjoyed the lunch at our restaurant.

Keep your money
This place is not worth it. Every green is in horrible condition. One green even is half dead. When you putt, your ball gets ruined. Not only that, there is still not grass compared to every other course in the area. If they are going to charge such high prices they need to put the money into the course and actually fix it. If not, they need to charge lower prices. It is absolutely not worth playing and NEVER pay 70-80 dollars to play it.
Oh and by the way, plan for a 5+ hour round....
We apologize for the negative experience you had at our course and we appreciate you taking the time to leave a review. We acknowledge your concerns about the condition of our greens and the overall course. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we will work on improving the quality of our course to ensure a better experience for our customers.
course needs work
Fairways in poor shape largely due to flooding and mud
Greens generally ok but many large areas have what appears to be fungus patches
Course needs BALL WASHERS,
ADDITIONAL PARKING
REPAIR CART Paths-some potholes ridiculous-just fill them in untill full repairs or replacement
Restaurant:
So loud, could barely have conversation-needs some sound softening.
Need cold glasses for beers
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of our business. We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during your visit, and we appreciate your feedback. We will take your comments into consideration as we work to improve our course and facilities.
Golf with a side of misogyny
This is a beautiful course and the people working in the pro shop, snack bar, and the starter were all very helpful and friendly. My husband and I were paired with a single and we had a great time on the front nine. The foursome in front of us was playing extremely slow, but they were very really nice guys. At the turn they let us play through and were joking that they shot 63 to 65 on the front nine and they were out for a leisurely day of golf and beer with the boys. We thanked them and went on our way and we all made par on hole 10. Next we tee off on hole 11 and after our second shot, we see the marshal speeding toward us from the other direction on the cart path (it was cart path only today). We moved our cart over so that 1 tire was on the side of the path so he could pass us (our tire was on dirt, not grass). We walked to the green to putt and the marshal yells, "Cart path only." My husband is very easy going and he told him he had only moved over so that he could pass us on the path. At this point, the marshal gets out of his cart, jumps in our cart ,and moves us over by 1 foot. It was both petty and aggressive. When we finished putting, he's still sitting there and he looks right at me and says, "There isn't anyone in front of you for 3 holes," I started to explain that the guys in front of us let us play through because they were very slow and unexperienced golfers. He then raised his voice and sternly says, "You need to pick up the pace." I’m sure you can imagine how my husband felt about this and at this point my husband says, "Hey hey hey wait a minute. We're playing through quickly and we were held up." The marshal proceeds to cut him off mid-sentence looks at me with his open hand pointing right at me and says, "You need to pick up the pace. There are 3 open holes ahead of you." I knew exactly where this would have gone if I didn't calm the situation, so I told the marshal we'd do our best to play even faster than we were already playing. I grabbed my husband's arm and asked him to let it go. Nevertheless, I was completely shocked that this guy blamed the entire situation on me. Did I mention I was the only woman on the course? Admittedly, I didn't have the best game today (53 on the front nine), but I am fast, and I pick up after triple bogey unlike the foursome who had been in front of us. Note that my husband shot 44 on the front nine and the single with us also shot in the low 40s. Clearly, we were not the source of the slowdown on the course, yet the marshal was adamant about not only blaming a woman, but yelling at us as if we were children (we're in our early 50s and the guys with us was probably in his mid-to-late 60s). It was humiliating and discriminatory. Despite the beauty of this course and the fact that we had a great time for 10 holes, I wouldn’t play here again if you paid me. Women already experience discrimination on many courses, but at Towhee Golf Club, the misogyny comes from a course marshal! I debated about whether or not to mention this to the manager because I didn’t want to be labeled THAT woman who complains. But I decided to talk to the ladies in the pro shop and they were very nice and apologetic. The only thing I hope comes out of this is that the older marshal with the mustache should take some implicit bias and sensitivity training and be counseled to collect some data before throwing accusations at the fast golfers on the course. Please make room and a welcoming environment for women in golf.
Friendly staff and challenging course
Great place to play! Staff was really nice for first timer and informative. Great layout and solid greens for course that gets a lot of traffic!
Thank you for your review, u668127360. We will pass along your positive experience to our team at Towhee Club. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Course conditions poor
A year ago this course was quickly improving. This year it has fallen back significantly. The greens are terrible significant dead spots with one being half dead. The fairways are thin and hard as a rock. Pace of play is very very slow. 16 holes took 5 hours and we ran out of daylight. The price point for all this is way more than justified to play. It is not a top rated club to be charging what it is charging. I dropped 60$ for twilight and after 4 holes felt robbed. The only positives here were people were all nice and new club house was impressive. I will not be playing this course again.
We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during your visit to our golf course. We appreciate your feedback and will take your comments into consideration as we continue to make improvements. Thank you for your kind words about our staff and clubhouse.
We're glad you enjoyed your 5-star experience with us. Please comment or reach out to our team in the golf shop to let us know more about your round at Towhee Club!
Needs a lot of work
Course layout is great. What course needs:
REPAIR cart paths
REPLACE ball washers
ADD parking
Greens inconsistent, some slower than others
