Average
Keeping in mind it was February and they had an enormous amount of rain the night before, it was average. The greens were below average but otherwise not bad. Would like to give it another chance when it warms up.
Terrible pace
Either the starter need to do better spacing or the Marshall must have people speed up or let other groups pass. They have a 27 hole lay out it shouldn't take 5 and a half hours to play 18.
Outstanding course conditions except the greens
Fairways are perfect, never a bad lie and they're wide enough for novice. Only negative thing about the course are the greens. Looks like the greens have had too much moisture and they have spotty dead spots. Tee to green the course is in outstanding condition and then you get on the green and it just doesn't match the conditions of the course. The course knows about the problem and they are working hard to improve the greens.
First timer very positive
The course was in excellent shape, especially the greens, and enhanced by a nice pace of play. Wide fairways but a lot of elevation changes made the course a nice challenge.
Very good given the time of year
It's mid March so I didn't expect perfection. The greens are already good. The rest of the course needs a month or so.
I played Nina and Pinta from the Blues. Nina is fun and a decent challenge. Pinta is beautiful and much more difficult. There are pin placements on Pinta that will make you want to pull your hair out. LEAVE THE BALL BELOW THE HOLE!!! ;)
Overall I'm very happy to have gotten to play this course for $40. Can't wait for May/June
Come on Spring
Very good winter golf. Course wet from rains but not bad Pace of plZy was steady, packed with players enjoying the 60s. Our 4 some was somewhat slow with out if state visitors. Restaurant has closed and the is the reason for 3 stars. Come on spring
Great Place to Play
The course was in excellent condition. Its a beautiful place to play. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pace of play was a little under 4 hours for 18 holes on a Saturday, so that's not bad at all. Love this course and would recommend this course to anyone who plays. The wide fairways and large greens are perfect for any type of player. A++ course.
Good Day
Isabella Golf Course is a nice course with lots of distance between the holes. The conditions were wet because it rained the night before, but the course still played good. I impressed with the condition of the course.
Another good example of how good golf is in Hot Springs Village
Like Granada, the 27 holes at Isabella is terrific golf. That I liked Granada more is the only reason I'm giving Isabella four instead of five stars, but it's barely a notch below. Like all these courses here, it's very playable, there are great views and conditions are superb. There aren't as many elevated tees and uphill shots as there are on Granada, but the course is plenty interesting. The ninth hole, by the way, on the Santa Maria nine is a bear, no matter what tees you play.
Definitely a good course to play
This was the second time I played Isabella (first was last July). Course is beautiful and in very good shape. Isabella (played the Nina and Pinta 9's) is a fun course as the drives are pretty open and one can take driver out on almost all the holes. There are some subtleties to driving though. If you haven't played here look carefully at the coloration of the fairway as what looks wide open is deceptive. A number of holes have contoured areas that are rough that sneak into the fairway and will grab your ball. If you are more into shot making off the tee, you might want to try Ponce de Leon as it is more challenging.
Played 18 in 2:15 as it was wide open on a weekday at 4:30.
Beautiful course, fun play, wide open and quick. Wish all the places I played did that.
Nice course/ 7 other courses in complex
Very pretty course in excellent condition. Wide fairways, some water. Outstanding layout.
Beautiful Course
My favorite course in the Village. Use Golf Now for your chance to play here.
Should have been closed by management
A thunderstorm happened the previous night.
The course was soaking wet! It was not enjoyable playing in this condition: none of the fairways was practicable: I ended up aiming to the rough which was a lot better.
The management should have closed the course for the day, waiting for it to dry. Making people pay the full price for such bad condition is not commercial.
Plus letting us play on a soaking wet course is very bad for the grass and the ground.
It is definitely not recommended to play after even a slight rain.
Disappointed by the staff saying "It's bad luck. Mother Nature wins...".
I am still pretty confident that the course must be very nice to play after 10 days of nice sun.
