Good Choice
HSV has excellent courses and Ponce is one. Staff has you checked in and ready to hit. Pro shop is well stocked, carts are clean and practice areas are available for you: Course is in excellent shape, greens are in top condition and are really fast. Lots of folks enjoying the fall weather and a four hour round is expected. The restaurant has your beverages and breakfast/brunch was the Sunday offerings to eat.
Golf Excellence
Golf in Hot Springs Village is the best semi-public experience in the state of Arkansas. Golf doesn't get any better unless you have some private club’s membership.
The greens, fairways, and tees all are looking great now. Pro shop is fully loaded with everything you might need or wanted to get for your equipment, supplies or wardrobe. A full service restaurant for 3 meals and a full bar. Come play Ponce de Leon and spend some time enjoying the other 8 courses in the village!
Today’s one drawback was the course was busy and packed with golfers so the pace of play was right at 4 hrs and a bit. You would like to see a bit more separation of tee times to add some space so playing thru would be possible.
Returning soon.
Course has great topography
Great scenes from many holes. Greens were okay except players didn’t fix divots. Fairways were very wet and soggy on many holes.
Hilly and Fun
Can't say enough nice things about this course. The starter was very friendly, let me go out first as a single. Weather looked ominous, but avoided the later arriving rain. Course has plenty of hilly terrain, and wooded areas bordering the fairways. Some houses, but they were set pretty far back. Fairways, tee boxes and greens were all in excellent shape. You have to get the right second shot-some of the greens are pretty well elevated. I would play here again, anytime. Drove from Little Rock since the ratings were better than others. Finished my round in 2 hours 5 minutes. Gave 2 balls to the woods.
Relaxing and fun day!
I had a business trip to the area and I used to live close by but everyone was out of town, go figure. I went on GolfNow saw that I could get into the village and picked Ponce. What a great choice from staff to ease of use to the little restaurant it was excellent. I played two rounds in 5.5 hours. Played the first round in 3hrs and asked staff about a replay and they set me up. The second round was very peaceful and fun (plus I shaved 7 strokes) because I knew the course better. Do yourself a favor and go to Ponce de Leon, there are many courses there but this one was exceptional in all ways. Thank you Staff!
Excellent day
We had a fabulous day at Ponce de Leon golf course. Pro shop staff very friendly and accommodating . Restaurant personnel very friendly. Course was in great shape and although tough as nails it was a lot of fun. Just an overall great day.
Hot Springs Village
Course was tough, hilly, and well kept. Played with my wife and paired with a local very nice retired couple. They gave us tips around the course and spoke well of the year around golf at the 9 Hot Sprigs Village courses. They drove their cart home.
Another Quality HSV golf course
Most every course played this summer in the village has shown excellent care, friendly staff and a fun golfing experience. Most rounds have had a heavy turnout to play that day making the time of play almost always 4 hrs. Sometimes others get in a hurry when there is no possibility of speeding up play or playing thru unfortunately but this can happen anywhere. Will return to play over and over.
Outstanding value!
Really fun golf course with a variety of different holes. The elevation changes create some interesting shots as well. My only complaint would be the lack of yardages available on sprinkler heads scattered around the course.
Course was in good condition with RAIN all day
Rained cats and dogs all day and was cart path only. Fours people on course and that was us. We had a great time.
Very nice course, worth going out of the way for
I've golfed 2 of the Hot Springs Village courses. Isabella and now Ponce de Leon. Both were very enjoyable courses. Isabella was in July of last year and was in great condition. It's an open course and a lot of fun. Ponce was in early May this year and was not in as good condition but understandable as it is still a little early in season. Grass is coming in and there are some wet spots. Bunkers are a little rough but reflects the spring rain and weather. In all, very nice at this time of year. Compared to Isabella, Ponce has some tighter holes. It's open ones generally are long and when the wind is blowing (it was the day I played), the wind can swirl, be hard to gauge and, when you are into it, can make holes very long.
Staff was very friendly. And, when I came in after 18 and asked about the cost of playing another 9 they just waved me out and said have a good time. Tops in terms of service and they bought a lot of loyalty from me. If you are nearby or have the chance to drive out from Little Rock, do it. It's worth renting a car in LR to do that.
