Magellan Golf Course

We played this course not knowing much about it. It is shorter than the courses to which we are accustomed so we anticipated getting on in regulation without any problem. The problem was a number of deep bunkers resembling washed out rock quarries or filled with extremely fine sand. The greens were a strange colored Bermuda, difficult to putt on and in poor shape. The green on #14 was half-dead so it was closed. A temporary green was set up in the fairway. That was unfortunate since it was a scenic hole. The broken up cart paths are difficult to traverse in the really slow old gas carts. Many of the fairways had large bare spots of no turf. Maybe in a better weather year this course would be ok to play. It’s not a bad design. It’s just in bad shape.

Course in great condition. Staff were excellent. It was beautiful day and the course w as s not busy.

Not a flat area on the course. Our foursome loved it! We are ready to come back and play another course. Greens were tough but fair. Fairways were in great shape. The rough thick but not so bad you can’t get out. We did lose a few balls in rough just a few yards from the fairway. If you are long, you should be able to drive a few greens. We will be back!

First time at this course and we already want to come play again! Beautiful scenery with river rapids and waterfalls, great white sand bunkers. Greens were semi-fast.great deli with friendly service and free popcorn. We’ll be back!

There were some very wet areas and this course has lots of fairway bunkers, but it was a nice layout and I would play it again. The pace of play was very slow though.

Pace of play could of been faster. Tee boxes and greens were fair. Fairways not the greatest condition for 70$ a round.

Lots of sand and wide fairways. Excellent condition with fast greens but true.

Course was in excellent condition. Staff was very friendly. Pace of play was very good. Round was completed in 3 hours and 40 minutes. I would highly recommend this course.

Magellan golf course was in excellent condition. The greens were fast and flawless, and the fairways were absolutely lush. I loved the course layout and condition. The elevation changes made the course even better. I would recommend this course to anyone looking for a great place to play. It's now one of my new favorite courses.

Very fun coarse to play. If your in the Hot Springs area golf this coarse for sure.

An overall course map with each hole layout would be beneficial. Some holes have blind shots tee shots and there are a lot of doglegs. Knowing tee shot placement would improve play.

Enjoyed the course layout but if you walk make sure you are ready for the hills.
