Sassamon Trace Golf Course

Hadn't played this course in many years. Heard it was taken back and is now managed by the town of Natick. The course was in great shape and the course is challenging for all levels. The greens were pretty fast. Overall a good course and with the Golf Now discounts it is a great course.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Course was in good contdition with tricky, fast greens. Layout was fairly easy and a blast to play. Don't miss right... OOB or edge of the capped landfill is right on every hole. I would recommend getting a cart: the hike between 3 and 4 and 8 and 9 is long and you have a massive hill to climb to get to the 9th tee.

This golf course is nice for beginners and I lik it!

The course itself is struggling from the drought. That being said, greens and tee boxes are in great shape for what they are. Course is easy, relaxing. Staff is there to keep pace , but to ensure everyone is happy. Will play again

I've been playing this course for years....and have always told others that they maintain the course very nicely. Hadn't played there this year but was shocked when we got to the second hole to find nothing of a fairway...all burned out...like rolling golf ball across a parking lot. and that carried through most of the remaining holes. Greens were fine (very slow and cut high). I know we've had a dry summer but municipal courses aren't as burned out as Sassamon. Something must have happened here but not worth playing right now. The GM retired too...too bad...great guy.

Played here for the first time yesterday and had a blast. This is a shorter 9 hole course, the par is 32 and there are 5 par 3's. There is a mix of straightforward and more interesting holes that border a big cliff (I think 2, 3, and 9). Better keep it straight on these holes or say goodbye to your ball. Conditions were great on the greens and tee boxes, fairways were burnt out in spots but acceptable. Greens were a bit faster and very challenging. One negative is no driving range, only a net to hit into but they do have a practice green. I will definitely be back.

Good place to play. Course is very basic and has a few tricky spots! Worth the money to play.

This place is a nice hidden gem. The staff goes out of their way to make your experience pleasant. Conditions are just outstanding and I would recommend it for a pleasing nine-hole jaunt. Close proximity to Metro Boston and Natick is a pretty little New England town. Send wife and family to the Malls - play here - pick them up - can have it all done - round trip 4 to 5 hours.

Not the longest 9 hole track around, but course is always in great condition and the greens roll true. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. Course can be walked, but the walk from 8th green to 9th tee is a haul up a steep hill. One of my favorite courses in the area.
