Located just five minutes northwest of Edmonton, Cattail Crossing Golf & Winter Club (formerly konwn as Hunters Green Golf Club) is spread across gently rolling terrain accented with a smattering of mature trees. At just over 6,500 yards from the back tees, the golf course doesn't use length to intimidate. The plentiful water hazards serve that purpose. Golfers will have to contend with water on 11 holes and your golf management skills will be tested with each one. Several holes present a difficult choice between going for it and laying up, a difference that could be between making par or adding multiple strokes. There are several tricky holes but the golf course isn't overly punishing for the high handicapper. The wide fairways offer some room for error. There is also a driving range available at Cattail Crossing Golf & Winter Club.

Challenging track
Course is in great shape and very well maintained.
Will need to think your way around the course. Lots of opportunities to make birdies, or ballon your scores playing into hazards or tough rough.
Give the geese a wave to get outta the way before shooting your ball at them 😉
Course was so dried out. Greens inconsistent. Very poor condition. Super needs to up the anti.
The course was in need of water and it looked like for a long while. Greens inconsistent and lots of ball marks. Need a significant upgrade in your superintendent.
Fairways need watering
Fairways were rock hard and usually when I hit the ball down the fairway there was a big bounce and landed up in the tall grass.
Best place
Such a great place great management atmosphere staff overall a great experience highly recommend
Ups and Downs
Greens are in rough shape on about half the holes. Golf carts have tons of advertising on the screen and if you go up hills or look for a lost ball they will lock down and you will only be able to reverse. It gets annoying fast. They charged us for the cart even though it was included. Sand traps very hard with little sand. Front 9 course layout is just zigzag.
Back 9 is much better layout using water features.
It was fun to go once but doubt we will go again.

The weather was beautiful, the good is good shape, a few spots need attention. pace was a little slow,

Nice weather, wonderful companions, had a great time. Definitely will be back.
