Edmonton Garrison Memorial Golf & Curling Club
About
Edmonton Garrison Memorial Golf & Curling Club is centrally located within 15 minutes of the Edmonton Area, St. Albert, Morinville, and Cardiff. It first opened as a nine-hole course in the 1950s. Since the second nine wasn't added until 1996, there is a distinct difference between the front and back nine that makes it feel like you're getting two golf courses in one. The front, the original nine, is a more traditional parkland layout while the back is a more open links nine. You'll face a different set of challenges on each. The smaller greens on the front are indicative of the time when it was built and the size will also test your shot placement skills. In contrast, Edmonton Garrison Memorial's back nine has large and undulating greens as well as more strategically placed mounding.

Overbooked
I arrived at the course to find out a tournament had been booked in front of me. So after a close to thirty minute wait for my tee time the Marshall has the audacity to tell me that he’s doing me a favour by getting me in and not canceling me(even though I prepaid). He then proceeds to put me in a foursome with three beginning golfers. Needless to say not too happy with my 5.5 hour round pace of play.
Garrison Golf course
Good layout and challenging enough. Greens were fast but some on the small size. Fairways were good condition.
Great place to play golf
The course overall was excellent , the layout takes some getting use to. Greens are small and fast .The course was wet which made it a bit of a challenge which was good. The stalf was helpful and very friendly and the service was excellent and the price excellent as well.
I would recommend this course to anyone.
Thoroughly enjoyed!
New to this place, also fairly new to golf, this course is currently my favourite course in the general area that I have played. Being a military equipment enthusiast, the ornaments along the course were an extremely cool addition to the overall feel of the course. The tall grass hazards were fairly irritating (as hazards are designed to be), and the overall grooming of the course was quite good. We played on an extremely windy day, and therefore there were leaves in certain areas of the course that made it irritating to find balls even in the rough of the course. That being said, may have been better if it hadn’t been so windy. Overall a great experience.
Pleasant
It was such a nice place to play. Other players are very informative and helpful.
October day
Good. Able to play in October
Bad. No starter, no Marshall, no grouping.
I saw many groups of one, two. Not only it slowing down pace of play but also taking the fun out of the game.
Sunny day
Wonderful weather; the only blemish is I was grouped with a guy who smoked cannabis nonstop. The front 9 was terrible I became nauseous, not feeling well. Back 9 I decided get away from him.
