About
Edmonton Garrison Memorial Golf & Curling Club is centrally located within 15 minutes of the Edmonton Area, St. Albert, Morinville, and Cardiff. It first opened as a nine-hole course in the 1950s. Since the second nine wasn't added until 1996, there is a distinct difference between the front and back nine that makes it feel like you're getting two golf courses in one. The front, the original nine, is a more traditional parkland layout while the back is a more open links nine. You'll face a different set of challenges on each. The smaller greens on the front are indicative of the time when it was built and the size will also test your shot placement skills. In contrast, Edmonton Garrison Memorial's back nine has large and undulating greens as well as more strategically placed mounding.

Great Course, really cool displays as well.
The course was awesome, the staff were great! The grounds were really well kept, and the holes varied in layouts enough to keep me (admittedly a poor golfer) on my toes.
The memorials all around the course are awesome as well, and the displays are really something else! If you have the time I highly recommend this course to anyone. Just remember to bring water as it gets hot!

Garrison memorial
The course was average. Staff was incredibly friendly. When we arrived for a 7 o clock tee time we were told that all power carts have to be back for 8:30. They gave us a discount to make up for the lack of a cart for the back 9. However this should have been stated online or they should stop bookings at 6:30. The course wasn't well labeled in terms of which hole was which and we wound up on the wrong green for a hole cause it was 40 ft away from the proper green without realizing. The people on the next hole looked at us and continued to shoot the ball at us. Which was completely unacceptable. It was our mistake but you never shoot the ball when you can hit another player. Unfortunately the course has a tonne of potentional but failed to reach it. However the staff was incredibly friendly but when we finished the back nine no one was at the clubhouse. We were hoping to talk to them about the individuals who shot the ball 15 ft away from us.

Good challenging 18 hole course, great value!
Hidden gem that not a lot of people know about that don't work at CFB Edmonton. This course is public folks and everyone is welcome! Always friendly staff and when opened (has been closed due to Covid restriction), the restaurant has great pub style food and beverages at reasonable prices. You won't be disappointed!

got to course and they said nope you booked through our page - anyways charged more than app booking. Played with some friendly vets who were great knowledgeable on course layout which helped.
For the price you can definitely have more options around edmonton but good little spot for a round.

SGT major would not like pace of play
Very friendly starter, front nine much better shape than the back nine, back nine dandelions fairways. Bunkers were wet from rain but havent been raked for awhile. Greens ok, slow speed.
Course marshal for some reason on back nine decided to fix ball marks on ine hole, this was very disruptive when hitting into green. Pace of play was brutal as the course is not full of hazards. Waited every hole to hit. Appreciate the way the course celebrates the canadian mitary having several military vehicles, guns parked on the course to see.
If you can get cheap deal play, if not pass.

Cool course because of the history. And is decently maintained
You travel along Canada's military history hole by hole so alot extra time since many people stop to read the plaques. The ground seemed very hard though so divots were near impossible to take the majority of the time. Pace of play seems very slow as I saw other groups leaving the back nine and coming back to the front so they wouldn't have to wait. Take note if you enter a twilight round you need to have power carts back in at 8:30pm
