Fox Run Golf Course

Amazing greens, bunkers and fairways. Golf here all the time and always have a great time.

Title not meant as an insult but more to reflect the atmosphere. You won't see the obviously wealthy playing here but you will see friendly, local folks who are out for some relaxation and enjoying the weather. This is a mostly flat, straight course where you won't lose a lot of balls. Greens were quick. Overall, the course was in respectable shape. The only negative is it's not well protected from wind. I only had time for nine but was happy to see the course still operating and in good condition.

Can’t say enough good about this course. It’s not a super challenging course, but it’s affordable. The clubhouse isn’t a place I’d hang out after a round, but I don’t golf for that. For the price, you think you’d give up quality, but the greens are the BEST ANYWHERE I HAVE SEEN IN EDMONTON THIS SEASON. The staff is super friendly and if I lived closer, I’d be there every day. Biggest bang for your buck in the area by far.

The weather was a little cool to start this late morning round but skies were clear with no wind. The fairways are nicely framed with a variety of pines and poplar trees dressed in fall colors added to the views. The course plays just over 6000 yards from the tips. The opening hole calls for a strong, straight drive to give you a look around the corner to the green. There are numerous holes on the course that would benefit a player who can work the ball both ways as not every hole is straight up. With only three Par 3's and three Par 5's available birdie opportunities are just a little tougher to come by. Overall the course was in great condition, the green speeds were consistent all day and rolled very well. There are very few bunkers on the course, 11 on the front 9 and only 4 on the back 9. It was a great day for a walk.
