About
Vulcan Golf & Country Club sits on the outskirts of the town. The layout sprawls across gently rolling terrain accented with stands of mature trees. The course measures to just over 6,300 yards from the back tees. It's gentle enough for beginners but also great for more advanced players who are looking for a casual round that can be played in less than four hours. The golf course starts with a gentle front nine with water only coming into play twice. Don't be lulled into a sense of comfort though, the course becomes progressively more difficult, culminating with the signature 18th hole. Water appears again on six holes on Vulcan's back nine, including on the final par-3 hole. Water borders the entire left side and there are also a slew of bunkers protecting the large green.

Front nine slow
Had 2 foursomes of older golfers in front of us for the front nine. Fairly slow. However both quit after 9 and the back nine was fine, even though it was busy, didn't wait long. Greens are still recovering from aeration and are still slow/inconsistent.
Excellent.
Likeable course with carefully managed tees, fairways and greens. Front nine with lots of trees and shade. Back nine is open and enjoyable though the neighborhood. I really liked it and would return in future.
Not a great experience!
I love using the GolfNow app, it allows me to play at new courses I would not normally play on. Vulcans greens we all recently aerated and a displeasure to play. The ball would hit the green and veer off left or right as if it hit a wall. Putting was like a roller coaster. When courses like this aerate. There should be an in revolt discounted rate.
Aerated greens
Guess they aerated the greens last week. Still pretty bumpy and inconsistent. Rest of the course is in great shape.
Course maintenance prevented finishing
We could not finishe round due to maintenance on greens. Requested refund for another round. They advised they have nothing to do with golf now. Told me to request refund from golf now. Advised me to contact you for you to contact their course and they would confirm the issues with maintenance.
