About
Vulcan Golf & Country Club sits on the outskirts of the town. The layout sprawls across gently rolling terrain accented with stands of mature trees. The course measures to just over 6,300 yards from the back tees. It's gentle enough for beginners but also great for more advanced players who are looking for a casual round that can be played in less than four hours. The golf course starts with a gentle front nine with water only coming into play twice. Don't be lulled into a sense of comfort though, the course becomes progressively more difficult, culminating with the signature 18th hole. Water appears again on six holes on Vulcan's back nine, including on the final par-3 hole. Water borders the entire left side and there are also a slew of bunkers protecting the large green.

Fairways beautiful, greens inconsistent
All fairways are in excellent shape, very green and cut perfectly. Greens on the back nine are fairly quick until you get to 18, then not so quick. Front nine greens vary. However the course is in good overall shape.
Great little course (2 different 9’s)
Excellent value for what you play - easy drive from south Calgary!
Course is in good shape
Fairways are in great shape, greens are pretty consistent. For such a windy day, course was fairly busy. Had to wait at every tee box after hole #3, but not for a long time.
Lots of leaves but very nice course
This is in great shape, but lots of leaves on front 9.
