Bighorn Golf & Country Club

About
Carved out of the sunny benchlands at the base of Mounts Peter and Paul, Bighorn Golf & Country Club (formerly known as Sun Rivers Golf Resort) is one of the few “true” desert courses in Canada. Designed by celebrated golf course architect Graham Cooke and Wayne Carleton, Bighorn is the essence of exceptional golf; offering dramatic elevation changes, sagebrush, natural sand dunes, classic bunkering, wide bentgrass fairways, gently contoured greens and majestic vista

Average Course
There are better courses to play in Kamloops area.
Great Kamloops Course
This was a pleasure to golf. The views up on top of the hill are amazing. The course was in great condition for April. Really enjoyed this course and the staff were amazing. Worth the trip and great value for your money.
BIGHORN KAMLOOPS EARLY SEASON
Great early season conditions! The grass still needs to grow in a bit more and there are some areas under repair, but all in all very nice! The greens are on the softer side but are still rolling very quickly, very unusual but very nice. There were some Sheep marks on 1 green, not surprising as we saw close to 100 of them on the mountain side! Very nice to see so many and Love seeing them anytime on the course!
Keep up the good work 👍⛳️🤩🙏🏻🌞
Pine Ridge, Kamloops - Nice but Degrading…
Course has a nice out and back layout, and some interesting holes. It’s unfortunate though that I guess due to pending redevelopment, the course condition is degrading. The fairways and Rough areas are still in good condition, and some greens are Ok, but many greens have burn out sections, some quite large! There are a couple greens that are completely unplayable, which is a real shame. The bunker maintenance over the whole course is basically non existent! Weeds and grass have taken over to the point where the bunkers are completely gone. This course could be a real Gem with proper maintenance. Too bad it’s been “let go” and really too bad that this maybe redeveloped into more thought less Condos or Commercial! I really hope if this happens that the municipal government will insist on retaining the ponds and natural features on this course as small natural Parks and trail areas!
Nice course
Very nice course and great views. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Course was in excellent shape and was pleased to take my guest out for a round there. Great Job Guys and Gals 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍😎⛳️
Aside from tobiano and talking rock, what courses do you recommend otherwise? Looking to make a trip out to Kamloops for a couple nights. Thanks!
