Best staff ever.
This is a great course. Excellent value and great staff. The pros hop staff are the best!
Was a bit hard to putt on the fifth green when the F18 fighter jets took off! Fun stuff.
Enjoyable day
Great fun on nice layout.Little noisy at times being near military airport but views more than made up for it.Great value .great day
Great walking course
always a fun course to play, great pace of play and always in good conditions, greens were very slow but will speed up in the next couple weeks.
Great Greens
In the past, we've always had a great round at Glacier Greens, primarily because of their great greens. I've played a tournament there in the pouring rain and the greens were dry. This was no exception - However, the rest of the course was sopping wet.
I haven't played in the winter there much, but the deal was too good to pass up. We drove up from Nanaimo to Comox (bout an hour) but we were surprised to see how wet the fairways were. It was nearly impossible to find a dry spot and you had to pick the ball clean each time, or you were getting splashed with mud.
Looking forward to playing it in drier weather.
FYI - the canteen is closed in the winter, so bring your own bev's.
This course has a great feature
Course was moderately difficult, and loved the fact it is right next to Comox airport, as got to see air traffic up close
slow play
Play was very slow. Groups of two were allowed to go out ahead of us. Had to wait on every tee box. No marshall to speed up play or join groups together.
Short but sneaky
Great track
Looks easy but the scorecard will say different!
Fun
Fun, challenging course, staff friendly, pace of play good. Cost on the high side, but worth it occasionally .
NIce Course
Nothing negative about the course conditions. A few less signs would be nice. I don't need signs warning not to hit balls at the Airport Tower, or onto opposing fairways or if I hit a car I'm responsible, etc. After getting the 9th hole flag out of a bunker maybe some of the course's clients do need some direction. The course is good, conditions were good, tee boxes were a little chewed up. With the golfnow saving, the course was worth the price.
Great Course
Course was in excellent shape with only a few really dry hard areas. A couple of the sand traps could use some work as the sand was very hard
Nice round of golf
The best alternative in Comox Valley to Crown Isle.
The course is in great shape, nice scenery and easy walking
Another great day in the Comox Valley
The course was in excellent condition, the best I have seen it in.
Staff
The young lady at the pro shop made the difference between a good day and a great day. We had a great day. The grass cutter on hole 6 was very considerate and quoted the machine while we hit the ball

Nice inexpensive alternative
This is probably your best alternative in the Comox Valley to overpaying at Comox GC or Crown Isle. They keep the place in great shape and don't charge you an arm and a leg to get on the course. It's definitely not a bomber's course, but one that makes you think through club selection on the tee, which is nice.
Wonderful
We were late getting to the course. There was no issue the staff fit us in as and when they could. The course a s a first time experience was challanging looking forward to playing it again.
Very good course to play.
I would highly recommend this course to my friends and visitors to this area.
Challenge with a View
Played "blues" for the challenge. A lovely relatively short course which is well laid out and often fairways are narrow compared to most. Lots of birds, dear, and resident turtle. A senic course with fantastic views of Comox Glacier, and Coast Range. Staff helpful and courteous. A very pleasant experience
Lovely wooded course with wild life present
A nice walk in the woods, with deer, eagles, turtles, lots of greenery, ponds and bunkers. Only disadvantage - next to airport, so noisy from planes- but even that adds to the charm of the course.
Good course but in Springtime condition
This is a good course fairly challenging especially from the Blue tees. The greens had been worked on but I found them to be in better condition than the fairways which were recovering from the rain in the last few weeks. Not muddy but not far from it. Rated the food etc down as the clubhouse was closed when we finished which was about 5pm.
There was an added bonus of the Snowbirds demo team practicing for this years air shows.
A good challenging course.
Our threesome played the course. Two walked and one rented a cart. Playing time 3.5 hrs, good conditions, just a few wet areas which we avoided. Weather forecast was for light showers, but we never felt a drop. It did rain off to the mountains to the west, and it followed the mountains north. We will definitely return again.
