About
Guildford Golf & Country Club has long been known as one of the finest courses British Columbia has to offer. The golf course is located in Surrey, just across the U.S. border from Washington and less than 40 minutes from Vancouver. The scenic layout has fairways lined with mature trees and the greens are large and undulating. There are also creeks that weave across the golf course and numerous lakes that come into play. The layout has a classic design that still provides a challenge for all skill levels. Golfers are put to the test right away on the first two holes, a par 4 and a par 3 respectively, which require good course management and thoughtful decision making. Guilford's standout hole though, is the signature 16th. This tough par 3 is modeled after the notorious 12th hole at Augusta National, complete with a stone bridge and water hazard that encircles almost the entire green.

Good value, easy to book, and very playable
One of the few full courses where you can book a single same day and the price is fair. The course is very playable. A fun track to work on your game and can be challenging when the wind kicks up.
Greens
You would figure for a major course in the area that they would take care of the greens a lot better than they do. Many of the greens have big big patches of missing grass and divots.
The condition of the greens is quite critical in reading the case and when putting is affected by the condition of the greens. Then it’s an issue.
I understand if it was a super cheap course but it’s not
Long, long round
I am not a beginner and have played numerous courses in the lower mainland. Ok, We teed off at 7:45 and putted out on the eighteenth at 1:30. No marshals at all. We called the pro shop numerous times to complain about the group ahead of us to no avail. I would not play this course again even if someone paid my green fees. Boycotted forever.
Enjoyed our day regardless
Course was in good shape. Greens were in good shape. Pace of play was frustratingly slow. We didnt see a marshall for our entire round.. Started off well but, by 4TH HOLE there was a backlog. Made for a frustratingly long round. We did stay on the patio afterwards and had excellent service. The food was very good as well.
Pace of play
Well over 5 hours for 18 holes Pace of play is non-existent unfortunately. Otherwise had a great time. Great staff, decent greens. Good value for money. I would recommend this course to a friend, but I would warn them they wouldent finish on time.
