Guildford Golf and Country Club
About
Guildford Golf & Country Club has long been known as one of the finest courses British Columbia has to offer. The golf course is located in Surrey, just across the U.S. border from Washington and less than 40 minutes from Vancouver. The scenic layout has fairways lined with mature trees and the greens are large and undulating. There are also creeks that weave across the golf course and numerous lakes that come into play. The layout has a classic design that still provides a challenge for all skill levels. Golfers are put to the test right away on the first two holes, a par 4 and a par 3 respectively, which require good course management and thoughtful decision making. Guilford's standout hole though, is the signature 16th. This tough par 3 is modeled after the notorious 12th hole at Augusta National, complete with a stone bridge and water hazard that encircles almost the entire green.

Great walking course
Course was in good shape. I like the reachable par 5 holes and the few elevated greens. Nothing bad to say about this course.
Challenging back 9
I struggled with the hazards on the back 9, i cant wait to go back and try to overcome them next time. Had a 645am tee time which was awesome because the course was more quiet and it was still great weather.
great value
good course for the average golfer who doesn't need the "high-end" Country Club atmosphere.
Would play it again
GolfNow was great. The course was in good shape. It had some challenging holes. I can't wait to play it again. Staff was friendly.
Interesting layout.
Enjoyable course that definetly needs some course knowledge. Nice par three's. Shortish par 5's from the whites which I played because of the group.
Would play it again at the Golfnow special rates.
Good Value
Fair conditions, friendly staff, and a great price = good value- will be back
Walkable and a nice course to play for all levels.
All the 18 holes have their own demands. First shot ball placement is important. Greens are fast and challenging. A good championship course to play.
Knowledge a must
Great course that challenges your shot-making and placement, but you need to know where these are needed. Some holes do inform you how far to water hazards, which is a bonus. Playing with a local would help. However, it will be better once coming back for a second round.
Not quite ready
The course is still quite wet in places and the greens are a bit spotty in places. However with the next week of no rain, it should dry out nicely.
Great value
The course was a bit soft but in great shape. Greens were in terrific condition for April. A very enjoyable round.
Guildford Golf Course
Fun course but there are a few temporary greens and tee boxes at the moment. If you want to improve your putting dont play here now as the greens are being sanded which throws off the putting. Good pace of play here and good staff.
Good track
Good track, but extremely slow. They really pack the tee times up. Not the first time we waited for every single shot!!!
Invite New Friends
not good condition that time, weather is too cool.mark is not clear some tee.
Don't play until it warms up
Winter golf is here. 90% of the tee boxes are now mats, and a quarter of the greens are shut down and they have temporary greens that are unputtable. I now understand why I got it for so cheap. Just not worth it until well into the New Year.
Winter setup
I played the course yesterday and they have just instituted their traditional Winter setup with mats on many holes and a few temporary greens. I'm not sure why. With all the great weather we have been having only a couple of fairways showed any evidence of winter conditions and the greens and teeboxes were as good as they've been all year. The course has been substantially shortened but for now it's still a great place to go knock it around.
great value with good price
Staff was very friendly. Fairway and greens were good. A slow playing foursome was in front of us, but we skipped them and finished 18 holes as planned. .Overally course conditions were good and I think it was a great value for a good price.
Good course and well maintained.
Fun and easy course to play. Some holes are challenging with water and others hazards if you are not careful. You need to shape your tee shot on some par 5s to get good results. Hole 16th is my favorite signature hole par 3 hit over water that can range from a wedge to a 6 iron depending on where they put the pin together with other nature factors that comes into play.
A great experience with huge savings
Love Golfnow - and Guildford can be challenging but it can be tamed. An enjoyable course
good challenges
need to play Smart lots of interesting challenging holes
pretty good shape for october
Great value!!
Although the course needs some LTC, I managed to enjoy this course. I used the winter rules, if it's on the packed mud or dried grass, I moved the ball. I would go back again and bring my golf buddies along.
