Fun course
Staff were diligent in blowing fallen leaves off the fairways and greens! And the greens were in great condition and quite fast!
A twosome in front of us held us up somewhat, because they would just saunter but the threesome in front of them seemed quite slow as well. Our foursome took that in stride, but the threesome behind us was very impatient. A good course marshal should have taken care of all this but the course did not have a marshal.
All in al, our group had a great time and played in just over 4 hours.
It's Fall Time
The Greens are good and the fairways are clean and give you a good roll out.
Remember this is Fall Golf so don't be too hard on yourself.
Enjoy the days we have left.
Fall Golf
Greens are in great shape and fairways are good also.
Remember this is Fall Golf. So carry a couple of extra golf balls.
Not a great Golf Course
Tee boxes are very beaten up. Hard to find a good place to place your ball and your feet are in divots or low spots. Fairways are like hitting off core pasture. One redeeming feature is the greens are in good shape. Friendly staff.
Nice course would love to play again in season!
It's September so as expected leaves everywhere (the greens were a bit of a sore spot for this) and the fairways were dry so weird bounces were a bit of an issue.
Overall a solid course just outside the city!
Back after 2 years
This course needs ALOT of tlc. There were lots of grounds crew working, but it seemed haphazard in its execution. Spots that really needed work..IE.most of the tee boxes have greenery, but it's weeds, and not actual grass. Alot of tee boxes uneven, scattered ìn turf here and there, yet they're watering the approaches to greens.
Actual value perceived....$35 green fees with cart!
The course is VERY dry, yet it's situated on a river.
Working Hard
This course is challenging and friendly.
As summer works it's way past us so do the course conditions. Greens are nice with good rollout and the fairways are being worked hard to keep them in good shape. Like most course's the summer heat is making the fairways hard and dry. Your shot distance should improve with these conditions.
Book around and enjoy day.
Go and Test Yourself
The course gives you an assortment holes which is one reason you should play it.
The green's are generally in good shape and have improved dramatically from a few years ago. Go and Test Yourself and let me know what you think.
It's been about 5 years since I last played the course and it has gone downhill considerably. Greens and tee boxes in rough shape. Several players lost balls in dandelion patches and standing water on course, conditions are not good. Were only able to play 14 holes due to ladies night happening during our scheduled time..... you would think they would know that and not offer that tee time on Golf Now.
Spring Golf
The course just opened up after a winter of sleep. Like every that takes a long sleep. When you wake up it takes a minute or two to start to get back to normal. The course wintered great. Very, very little frost burn or ice kill. The course is in great shape for this time of the season with only better condition ahead.
So book around and go and knock the rust off your game.
Remember your just waking up also.
Enjoy
