About
Knollwood Golf Club is home to two 18-hole courses, the Old and the New. The golf courses were built nearly 20 years apart. Opened in 1970, the Old Course is spread across beautiful parkland that is covered in trees. The layout is more traditional and less challenging than the other course at Knollwood Golf Club, but it is still an entertaining round. The main priority in creating the golf course was to not only maintain the natural features of the terrain, but also enhance it. Thousands of trees were planted in addition to those already present throughout the golf course. The result is a unique course that players of all skill levels will enjoy.

Good course
Id say average/good. Short course good for beginners. Some very wet boggy spots and some patchy dead areas. Most holes are straightforward with the exception of 2-3 holes which have more challenging approaches or tee shots. Got a cheap greens fee so for that money its worth it.
Enjoying knollwood old
Really enjoyed knollwood old course. First time going out to this club when we Pulled up in the parking lot and we were greated by very kind older gentleman who helped us right away without hesitation. Would definitely recommend and go back.
Worst staff! Bad conditions
Garbage ! Unfriendly starter ! Guy is an a hole . They have no good at all try and bring up the fact that they don’t have any tee off blocks or anything and watch the guy snap at you l joke of a course now …. Once upon a time it used to be good . I don’t know what happens to them they need to get there course In order
Great trek
Always have a fun time playing at Knollwood - Old course. Just a couple of downsides on this trip:
1. It rained the night before, so during our morning round at 6:50, the course was still really soggy, so when you think you have a great shot in the middle of the fairway, it was soaked.
2. they were a little delayed this time. as mentioned, our tee time was for 6:50, we did not get out until 7:30 to start our day. They are lenient and want all golfers who made ample amount of time to get out, but a 40min delay, with two groups of 4 (both with carts) is a little unacceptable.
however, day turned out to be a great day!
Good value
Always enjoy Knollwood
Good value for the money, not a long course but tricky and well maintained.
Great round of golf
Course in great shape. They paired us with two other players and we all enjoyed it. Food and drink is bought through the pro shop. With only one allowed in at a time that’s a little bit slow and rushed. Bev cart was out and that was fine. Will go back.
Old Course
Course was in good shape very slow play on front nine no marshalling. Greens in good condition once you fixed the ball marks.
Little gem
First time playing and I really enjoyed it. Not too long so it wasn't defeating. Is tight so you can't be spraying the ball everywhere, but is also forgiving if you are only off a little. Nicely priced, will definitely be back.
Mediocre Course, Not Maintained, Great staff
Not a well maintained course. Staff very friendly. Had no food at 4pm on a Sunday.
All in all, won't come back.
Nice short course, layout a little confusing
Came to hack it up at the old course in Ancaster on Saturday. Beauty course, very friendly staff, great course to walk. The only concern I have is, if we weren’t playing with guys that have played here before, we would’ve been lost on a few holes. There is a bit of a walk to a couple of holes, so it’s nice to know where you’ve gotta wheel the cart. The guys we played with were great, so we had no issues. Overall, a great place to play.
Goood course
Need to marshal better. Pace was horrible, we couldn’t finish the last two holes based on timing. There was one home where we waited 20 minutes to play. Overall beautiful course, nice greens and staff were friendly.
