golfing in the rain
we, foursome, tried to cancel due to the rain. but your web page says it was cancelable but non refundable if not close the golf club. and i called a staff asked we can play or not. he said we can play. Unfortunately we played and it had been a tough and hard play in my life.
i wish our members do not have a cold in this covid season.
What a friendly staff, exactly as bad a course as you would expect for the money. They try hard on the greens were on their credit. Fairways are basically grass with hard dirt underneath.
Very good
The course was in good shape. The price was little to high.
Lakeland Very Challenging If Playing For First Time
We played Middle and Lakeland. Lakeland has a number of very challenging holes, more so if you are playing the course for the first time. There are some blind shots and some definite target golf required. Starter Carol really makes the experience pleasant as you head to the first tee. Middle definitely has some challenges with elevated greens and the need to hit an excellent drive and second shot to secure your par. Greens roll true and are fun to putt on.
Well conditioned greens, fairways not maintained well
Overall for the price point paid and pace of play it was not horrible. The fairways looked like they hadn't been maintained in a while but the greens were in good condition. Pace of play was great, played in 4 hours with minimal waiting.
Conditioning not what it used to be
I've been playing Westview a few times a year for over 30 years and have never seen the conditions, specifically the fairways, in as bad a shape as this year. Not sure what happened. Summer drought perhaps; although other courses I have played this year in the area have not shown similar conditions and I haven't heard or read of bad conditions at other neighbouring courses. Let's hope it is a one time thing. I will not return this year for another round.
Enjoyable!!
Friendly staffs, woody surrounded, lovely course !! We enjoyed whenever we go .
Wish not far from us but still we are going whenever we find good deal.
Westview in Aurora
I have been a Clublink member for 18 years and play Diamond, King’s Riding and King Valley a few times a year in the same area. I had more fun playing Westview.. the views from high elevation is spectacular and the mature forests are gorgeous. Staff is friendly! There is a simplicity that is appreciated that you do not need a chateau like club house to enjoy a sandwich and drink. The sandwiches/sausages were excellent... better than most. Mark
Mature and Scenic Course in poor condition
This has always been a mature and scenic course to play on with many challenging holes but the course is not in good condition, be ready for bare or scalped fairways and a very rough ride on the cart paths.
