Walked

rough track but an fun experience

Me and my buddy went out here for a round one day. Called beforehand only to learn that they don't book tee-times, walk-on only. We show up and are told that they don't have any power carts. We're fine with walking, but when we ask to get some pull carts, the lady tells us she needs to take our drivers licenses for collateral. We walk to the first tee and have to wait because there is a group taking their second shots half way down the fairway. After they clear out and we get to the same position, there is already another foursome on the tee behind us. Surprisingly after this rough start, the pace wasn't that bad throughout the round. The biggest issue with this course is that due to the layout, golfers on adjacent holes often hit wayward drives into close vicinity and consistently fail to warn you that the ball is coming. My partner and I had balls land within 10 feet of us no less than 5 times and not once did I hear anybody yell fore. As the gentleman in the group ahead of us put it, "It's like playing in hard hat alley out there". Overall, I recommend this course only if you are looking for a really cheap round and are planning to suckdown a couple of beers while you are out there. Also would recommend the hungry hut in the parking lot for a sausage on a bun after your round.
