Pheasant Run Golf Club - Midlands
About
The Midlands Course is one of three challenging nine-hole courses at Mill Run Golf Club. The nines can be played in different 18-hole combinations, providing a variety of options. The Midlands Course features dramatic elevation changes and heavily tree-lined holes, rewarding strategic, target-oriented play. The layout features a naturally rolling landscape with stingy landing areas and lush fairways guarded by swales and bunkers. Golfers face many challenges but there is some respite in the large, player-friendly greens. Midlands features two of the most challenging par 5s in the area, most notably its finishing hole. This hole requires pinpoint shots to a narrow landing area bordered by trees and a pond that runs the entire length of the fairway.

Great fall day for golf! Photo submitted by jonefraser on 10/20/2012
red hat
From the Pheasant Run website, "The Red Hat Club has become a staple at Pheasant Run. This membership is a great way to save as you play, and it includes a FREE red hat too!"
It is a terrible deal. I know people who did it and they didn't even get a hat. And there really isn't much of a discount when you factor in the cost of becoming a red hat member.
Nice but too busy
They ran out of carts so I had to walk even though I paid for one.
This course is very good in terms of good view vs challenges
The course is not very far away the city, beautiful but also not very easy to play
Front nine par 37
Front 9 layout was nice
Back 9 not really a good nor fair layout but at least u see everything. It's not blind. But esp the last par 5. Weird
Great for Fall Golf
Played a morning round at Midlands and Highlands. It was raining lightly before we teed off but cleared up as soon as we started playing. Conditions were great for late in the season. The changing leaves, especially on Highlands, made for some really beautiful views throughout the round. Pace of play was great and all the maintenance staff we encountered on the course were very friendly. For public golf just outside of Toronto, you 'd be hard pressed to find many better options than Pheasant Run.
Beautiful Fall Colors
Played the Upland and Midland courses with a friend. The twosome before us were extremely slow, sometimes playing two or three balls, jamming the entire course. Fortunately the beautiful fall colors were everywhere. All tee box waiting has become photo opportunity.
Great course
Very picturesque with interesting holes. Quite challenging too.
Pheasants
Absolutely the best public course close to newmarket aurora area. Very challenging, friendliest staff in the golf industry. Very well kept, if youve never played here you should!
Thanks for the strong recommendation, pasho! We'll keep the pressure on to stay at the top of your list!
Great value
beautiful view/layout, friendly staff, and good fairway. The greens need to be maintained better.
Thanks for the 5 Stars, Ricky! I've been very pleased with the conditions this year. I wonder what you noticed with the greens? You can reach me at (905) 960-3917
Hey bunker!
It has been crazy busy here this spring, but I've never heard of anyone not getting a cart - especially if they've paid for one! Please give me a call, I'd like to set this straight (905) 960-3917
