Great Course with lots of beautiful views!
Played the North course. Challenging course with great views. Had some rain during the round but nothing that bad. Elevation changes made for some interesting shots. Played from the Greens (mix of Blues and Whites) which seemed to be a good fit for our group. Requires a good drive to get to the fairway for some holes. It is important to stay on the fairway and not go into the large number of bunkers on many of the holes.
Will be back for sure!!! Played in around 4 hours, no waiting.
Bondhead is Great!
North Bondhead is a scenic and challenging course. Fun around every corner and hill. Patience is a must on the north for rewards.
Always a please at Bondhead

Deep rough
The course was good, but the rough was about 6 inches deep when we played. Maybe they were getting it ready for a tournament? Definitely catered to the better player. The 2 others we played with would move their ball to the fairway every time they landed in the rough because they couldn't hit out of it... and i don't blame them. Greens and fairways were pretty good. A little too expensive for what it is at full price.
Pace of play issues
Course is too difficult for the new golfer. The group in front of us had two golfers who couldn’t carry the hazards off the shortest tees. Took our group 2.5 hours to play nine because the group in front fell behind two holes.
Avoid full rates and seek deals
The course condition appears to be trending the wrong way. While the greens are still pretty good and quite enjoyable, the rest of the course was definitely drying out and starting to decline. Some of the tees were a challenge to put a tee into the ground. The fairways produced big hops and roll outs, but in some cases it was hard to hit a wedge great with the turf that firm. The bunkers and rough lacked consistency, sometimes even on the same hole. Much of the rough was short, thin and seemingly dormant, but some areas were thick and long. Some bunkers were well maintained and playable, while others would’ve been better filled in, as they had almost no sand or maintenance.
The layout of the north course provided a fun challenge with the elevation changes and greens complexes, but I would never pay full price with the current conditions. It’s decent value with twilight or reduced rates, but there’s other courses nearby that might provide better value.
A Challenge!
Beautiful, scenic course set among rolling hills. Lots of scattered bunkers. Some tight driving windows. Undulating greens. Generally good condition, although a few rough patches.
First Impression
The layout is fantastic. Bunkers are placed appropriately on both sides of the fairway and there is a premium on hitting greens in reg. Several greens have deep bunkers and extreme fall-offs, making up and down extremely difficult. Also loved the design of the infinity greens! Elevation is a factor on most holes as well.
Would love to play it again when all bunkers are raked and some of the minor conditioning flaws are taken care of.
Good dat at Bondhead today...
Enjoyed the round at Bondhead today. Still a great track and happy to come back. I have played her every few years for the past 20 and it seems to be in decline a little every time. It needs an upgrade on it's carts (GPS), and the small pre-round driving range buckets should be included (it feels nickel and dimey to be charged $6 for 20 balls prior to the round). It didn't used to be.
COVID-19
Unfortunately due to the COVID-19 issues the tee box, and bunkers are in bad shape. Lots of divots because players have become lazy or stupid and don’t fix them.
