Wasn't what it was...
The Club at Bond Head wasn't what it was in comparison to past experiences. The staff were more welcoming, the little extras (where they made me feel like a member even though I wasn't) were a huge impression. We used to get more guidance on how to navigate the course, I don't recall having to wait for my round so start to get access to my cart, and we used to get a nice little velour bag with a divot repair tool, a caddy guide to the course and a ball-marker. None of that exists any more except the caddy guide, which is a smaller, cheaper version with no notes, just a image of the hole with one item marked. It was a good day and the price was right, but it just wasn't what it was.
Tuff track!
Bond Head is one of my favourite courses to play. The rate of $65 on GolfNow is a very fair price for this course. It’s a tuff track(North) and from the blues Is plenty long. The greens were fast and the fairways firm. Other than the overgrowth if weeds in some place(off the fairways) the course is looking pretty good. I would suggest this course to anyone in mid season form, but don’t take it on in the beginning of your golf year, it can’t be very humbling. I wish clublink would have more public play on the other courses for this price. I’d certainly golf more often.

Really challenging round
The course was in amazing condition. The one thing is that the traps were in terrible condition. Conditions varied within each trap from hard pan to much sand especially the greenside bunkers. Other than the traps and the 45km wind conditions and course would have been perfect. Going back though.

Too much elevation change
North course: Ridiculous elevation changes. This course is better suited to growing grapes for wine. 290 yd par four, tee shot to a postage stamp landing area, and then a huge wedge to a green seemingly well above sea level. It was only fun, because I wasn’t scoring for cap purpose!
Members must laugh at the first timers here.
Pro shop Staff were great! And restaurant Breakfast was wonderful, and served by smiling faces.
I’d go back, but only because if hot deal, $59++, I’d never pay regular rate here.

Bring your imagination
More elevation changes than I anticipated. Very challenging layout, even at 6,000 yards from the white tee. Worth the drive if you can get a hot deal. But not worth 100 plus as it is usually priced.
Staff were very friendly, except the halfway house, who couldn’t even provide change from a small purchase with a 20 dollar bill. I don’t mind offering a gratuity, but don’t force my hand at it by only offering me a handful of quarters as change.

Pace of Play
Very overbooked. We were supposed to tee-off at 3:27, we were about 20 minutes behind. Took us 3 hours to play 9 holes!
We decided we would play the front 9 again so that we could get a full round in as everyone else would be rounding to the back 9.
But very very very slow round!
It is to bad because we are returning golfers and love to golf Bond Head but this may have turned us away.
Hi Jlyon91. Sorry to hear of the poor pace for your round, we would love to have you back as that is not the norm - however, keep in mind out typical pace is 4:45 due to the challenge of the course.
If looking for our fastest time, our play fast times in the early morning may be the best time to play!

We have passed your comments onto our operations team. Unfortunately with the difficulty of the course there are times when the pace of play is slightly longer than anticipate. Our standard pace of play is expected to be played in 4 hours and 45 minutes on weekends, and 4 hours and 30 minutes through the week.
We hope we see you again, and don't hesitate to use our 'play fast' times in the early morning each day.

Did not enjoy my time at this club
I used to like this course but over the past years I've seen it decline. The rough is either not cut or dying (brown). The tee decks, fairways, and greens are nicely cut and smooth. Bunkers have no sand in them at all. Pace of play was 2 hours, 45 minutes for 9 holes. Did not finish the whole 18 because of slow play. Beverage cart did stop to check in with our group and continued right passed our tee deck. After 9 we came in to grab a drink/food but they were closed early. After all this it is safe to say I'll never be coming back to this course again. Such a cash grab

We are disappointed to hear it didn't live up to expectations. Although we think Bond Head is a links course where the rough/fescue typically gets slightly 'browner' in the summer months, we are quite diligent in our watering practices to ensure the course is fully playable. Although some rain assistance would be helpful, we do make greens and tees the priority.
For the fastest pace of play, please try our 'play fast' tee times in the early morning each day! We will review the entirety of the review with the operations team and find ways to continue to improve. We hope to be able to host you once again as we're confident the experience Bond Head provides is of great value. If you are looking for another great golf course that is less penal, please try out our South Course. We're sure it may meet your expectations best.

North course is a real challenge.. some beautiful holes. Can’t believe the reasonable green fee.

Interesting layout on North Course
I have played both the North and the South course. I prefer the North Course as I enjoy the dramatic elevation challenges. Whatcha out for the greenss as they can be very fast.

Good place to challenge your game. Pace is a little slower than I would like. Overall a nice place to play. For the price you can’t beat it.
