Record year for players - poor staffing, pathetic excuses
It’s been record year for golfers. Decent course. Too pricey for what your getting. No bunker sand most of the year. Marshals are a rare. They can’t manage course speed very well since they don’t hire any adults to advise slow players to pick up the pace or play forward especially on weekends and holidays. Once you’ve payed, they have your money, don’t expect any customer service beyond that should something arise. They don’t care. Played 20 times here this year.
Greens and tees are awful
Greens were in such bad shape...couldn't believe it. The tee boxes are also beat to crap...not impressed for a $100+ course.
Slow play
Front nine went so well but back nine took 3 hrs. Longest I’ve ever done. Would like my money back as it was the longest I’ve ever played
Great layout
The course needs to add red stakes on a lot of holes that used to have them but don’t anymore. Also needs to bring back designated drop areas For certain holes, for pace of play purposes. Greens aren’t in great shape lots of divots that players don’t fix.
Can't wait to go back
Great course. Very challenging. From start to finish had nothing but good things to say. Will definitely go back before the season is over
Hot Day
Pace of play was good some slow downs
course was in good shape
Consistent
Great conditions as always.
Played 6 times already this year at RedCrest.
Fairway are on point.
Green are fast but true.
Layout is excellent and varies between the tee-box.
Highly recommended.
Awesome!!
Just a fantastic gold experience. Staff was super and very helpful. The course is in perfect condition. The greens were gorgeous. Thank u Red Crest. I will be back
Absolutely pristine
Beautifully laid out and maintained. Lots of challenging holes with plenty of water in play. Greens rolled very true and there are definitely some tough ones. I've paid a lot more to play 18 elsewhere and not been nearly as satisfied.
Cardinals Best
I have been playing at Cardinal's East and West courses for the past 5 years. I always enjoying playing both course because they are always maintained in great shape and are both challenging courses. I have shied away from Red Crest because I've heard how difficult the courses although being a beautiful course.
They weren't lying when they said it was a beautiful course it is truly one of the most beautiful public courses I played at it is up there with Angus Glen in terms of beauty. But don't be fooled by this beautiful course it is a very tough course to play and it is not for amateur golfers. Tight Fairways and tricky greens. Having a long drive does not give you an advantage of on this course you need to play smart and target golf on quite a few holes. The course was absolutely well-maintained and the pace of play was great for a Saturday afternoon.
I will definitely be back at this course again maybe play this course once a month since it is so reasonably priced.
Course in good shape, but pace of play and MGMT horrible
Despite there being 10 minutes between tee times, we were delayed by 20 minutes from our t off time. There's no evidence of anyone on the course trying to keep the pace of play reasonable.
A group of walkers or moved ahead of us because the staff had not managed their golf cart inventory properly. We had booked a tee off time four or five days in advance, with a cart, and there were no carts available when we got there. So we were given the option of waiting for two more carts, or going off two per cart even though the four of us were not from the same household and probably should not do this given the covid environment.
For $100 pp this is brutal . I will be recommending people stay away.
What can you expect?
Love this course. Well laid out and very nice. After a heavy downfall of rain on Saturday night, clearly the course wasn't ideal. What do you expect for late October golf! Considering how much rain came down the night prior the course was playable and we had a lot of fun.
Surprisingly, for an afternoon tee off and despite all that rain there were plenty of groups playing. The pace of play was pretty slow as there were times we were waiting close to 10min to tee off , waiting for the group in front of us as they waited for the group in front of them.
Love this place can't wait to go back in warmer weather.
