Great course
Great course only thing i didnt like was there was no cart girl after the 2nd hole.
A Very Different Course
I am conflicted about this course. I've played it three times, but hadn't played it for a few years. Conditioning of the course was excellent but that's not the issue.
I think this is a course that you will either love or hate. There are VERY severe elevation changes which makes club selection a real challenge. Now I like elevation changes, but this course goes over the top. And when (not if) you miss the greens, you'd better miss in the right place (if there is one).
The greens themselves putt really well, but the slopes and swales make putting hard as well. Combining the difficulty of hitting the green with the difficulty of putting it - you might not like this course.
I'm happy to play it every year or so just because it is different, but it wouldn't be my everyday course.

Good course
Course was in good condition, but the sand traps were not well maintained. Not much sand in many of them. Workers were out adding sand at the end of our round to a few of them but too late for us.

Challenging but Fair
Greens and fairways are in great condition despite the recent heat wave and dry conditions. Challenging course with long carries off the tee. Only blemish is the lack of sand in some bunkers. Truly enjoyed the round.

Slushy fairways
Course does not have great drainage. T-Storms the night before our round and sunny next morning and throughout our round yet most fairways where still very soggy and slushy. More than just wet fairways. Also, disappointed that maintenance did not dry grass on driving range and we were directed to only hit off Mat. Makes practice before round almost useless. Not what I would expect from a quality course like Bond Head.
Hi Sandro1063030. Thanks for taking the time to review your experience with us. I am sorry to hear the course was a little wet, although the rain was much needed with all the recent heat - it allows the course to recover to lush out the grass.
Unfortunately we have no mechanism to dry the driving range through to the root. We restrict to mats in order to protect the range, otherwise there would be very little grass to hit. Which would bring us back to the original issue. We hope you understand, and come back on another day for the full experience. Tough course but fair! pick tee boxes according to how far you can carry the ball , there are a lot of force carry’s on the North course.

Layout like no other
Conditions were great. Greens have lots of undulations, fast speeds.
Course is a challenge but fair if you have your A game. Must have a stellar short game for up and downs.
Definitely for 12 caps or less.

Great track, solid get away
Grabbed a round for $50 off of Golfnow and it was a still. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were in excellent condition. Only complaint I have that dropped it to 4 stars is the bunkers...they were pretty horrific.
All in all an amazing value and an incredibly scenic and challenging course. From the drive up to the opening tee you can tell you’re in for a picturesque round of golf.

Like the course!
All I can say is that the course was in great shape! But the bunkers didn’t have enough sand and the greens could of been a little faster. Overall it was a great course I would definitely play there again!

Scenic and tough. However, insanely slow greens, while not all of the bunkers have rakes. Then again, this isn't that big of a deal considering none of the bunkers have sand in them. $50 course masquerading as upscale.

We appreciate your constructive feedback, we have just applied our aerification on the North course which would cause the greens to be slower than typical. We expect the greens to be full healed within the next week and will be rolling in mid-season form at that time.
We also have plans for new sand replacement to enhance the experience in the bunkers. We hope you'll visit us again later this month for an enhanced experience of the course.
Wonderful layout
Can never go wrong with a round at Bond Head.
It was a great day with just a hint of wind making the playing conditions favourable.
Two main sticking points are that all of a sudden you have to pay for a range practice. I have been coming to BH for well over 10 yrs and now they want to charge for range balls? Dumb decision on behalf of management.
Second, if you are gonna have sand traps, at least make them playable. They were basically hard pan.
One last thing, put someone at the halfway house who knows how to BBQ and maybe have more than 1 sandwich in the fridge. Yikes! What a major embarrassment.
The golf, however, is what keeps me coming back.

We have new sand on route to Bond Head to have a more favourable bunker experience upcoming. We have provided the feedback to the halfway house, as we strive to have many options for our golfers who want to grab something between tees.

not what it used to be
Played here many times and always enjoyed it but it is now showing some serious neglect. Sand traps are not raked and are hard, weeds all over the fairways, tee-off areas and even some on the greens. weeds in bunkers. Not what you'd expect from Clublink at all.

Great course, excellent staff
I really enjoyed the layout of this golf course, very challenging. Staff are excellent. The greens were still slow and difficult to play, but it'd early in the season. Looking forward to playing here again.
