Nice Staff, got the 5pm tee time which should give us lots of time to finish,unfortunately too many people on the course, delayed start and got dark on 13th hole,
Shame because the course is nice.
After being told there was a delay the clubhouse guy said . you will still get 18 in.
Feel a little cheated.
Greedy cancelation policy
ClubLink public courses have become very greedy coming out of Covid lockdown. I booked a week in advance and my card was charged right away. Because the forecast was calling for 100% rain, I tried to cancel more than 24 hours in advance and was only given a rain cheque. Their policy for refund is to cancel atleast 48 hours in advance. This is ridiculous as we all know how dependable the weather forecast can be. Disappointed to see them go in this non customercentric direction as they try to recover lost revenue from covid shutdown.
Good course but Marshall is a problem
First time playing this course and condition, layout, pace were good. The unfortunate memory I’ll have is the Marshall. Our group was the first of four that we arranged as part of a fun (COVID-friendly) event during some tough times. The group in front of us was delayed to tee off but it wasn’t a big deal because we were in no rush and just trying to have a good time. We played up behind them and finished our round in 3:45 which according to the other staff members was well ahead of pace. We did a scramble format and all groups were under par (to give an idea of pace). The Marshall came by the first time to tell us to turn down music to a dull roar (which we did) and to speed up (not possible to speed up). He came back multiple times to tell our group and others behind us to pick up the pace. Again, we were right behind the group in front and there was nowhere to go. We didn’t see other groups get the same attention as we did. Note: our group of 16 guys was almost all East Indian. Wonder why we got the special attention from the Marshall? He’s the one who doesn’t belong on the golf course.

None golfers & divots!
Unfortunately, we were behind some none golfers, so took a while longer to finish. The worst part was, not many are fixing divots on the greens, greens were full off them!.. we would play the old course next time as more character and better course.

We are glad to hear you enjoyed the course, but disappointed to hear of our on-course interactions caused a negative experience.
Our on-course staff has the challenging job of balancing out of position groups with those that are out of position but on time par. It seems the latter occurred in your instance so we will re-affirm our pace of play management in those instances.
