Good course for the money
Only consistent fault is the tee boxes. Ground hard as s rock, broken tees on each drive. Need to be moistened.
Pace of play, greens, fairways and rough all good.
Would have been nice to see a refreshment cart on the back nine.
Burlington Springs - Good
The course was in good condition for October,
Some of the tee boxes were quite chewed up and the teeing ground was very dry and hard - difficult to place the tee. The greens were also quite dry and firm so faster than normal. Fairways were good and rough was thick.
Great review
The course is in good condition albeit a tad on the dry side due to the warm and dry weather we have been experiencing over the past week.
We had a group behind us who did not behave with the proper etiquette that is normally required in the golf course. I reported the situation to the pro shop and the situation was handled professionally..
Value for Money
Course hot deal is value for money!
Kind and caring staff, prepared to go an extra mile to help first time visitors or GolfNow customers, who maybe running late (like me).
Owners can do better with a small investment in rental club sets that are earmarked for playing only, not range practice.
Good Potential but…
I used to like this course but was disappointed with the condition this time around. Not entirely the courses fault, but the greens were covered in ball marks and some had been aerated in the past week. The par three greens required several ball mark fixes to even be able to putt without hitting them along your line. (Again, this is more the fault of lazy golfers) what i was really surprised with was the state of the bunkers. Many had very little sand and a couple were full of dime sized stones mixed in. I couldnt play out of the green side bunker on 13 for fear of destroying my wedge.
However, grass was in great shape, service was good in the pro shop, and pace of play was exactly 4 hours for 18. This course has a potential to live up to its price, but fell a bit short for me on this occasion.
Value for Money
It's a fun and scenic course with lots of variability and some challenging holes. I especially like the pace of play and that it doesn't seem to be overbooked, at least when I play it. It certainly is a good deal for the cost.
Great day to play
Fun round at Burlington Springs. Course is in great shape. Some grass clippings on the fairways but we have had a lot of rain, so the grass mist have been long as it has been growing fast. Greens are in good shape. Nice track for all handicaps.
Underrated course with sloppy greens
The greens are in some cases borderline unfair with some of the slopes, but don't take away from the course. Mature course with proper big trees, and varied holes. 2nd time I have played and enjoyed the variation despite not playing my best. Definitely worth a visit or 3!
Water
On hot 30 degrees plus days water should be available for players on the course for free.
A couple off groups in front of us had players on the verge of fainting.
Great course, Poor marshalling
Great course, great value. Marshalling/group spacing needs to be better to improve pace of play. We were told to speed up play while group in front of us always easily within shot distance. Frustrating when the Marshall is constantly trying to push play when it’s out of your control.
