Good value
Good value and convenient to Oakville Hamilton corridor. Greens in very good shape. Front nine a bit boring but back nine was an improvement.
Milllcroft GC Hot Deal Review
I took the day off to take care of a few things and decided to play some golf. The weather was a little cool so I needed an extra club on many shots. This course is great, but beware of errant tee shots because it is between homes. I love the layout and it is a fair test of golf if you play from the proper tees. Most holes give you a challenge but do allow you to score. There is one one very difficult par 4. You will know it when you see it on the back nine. But, I really like this course. Living 15 minutes away also helps for me.
Good as usual
This is an excellent golf course, always in great condition, the staff are great, the sandtraps are the only thing that needs work ( there are rocks in them and not enough sand - I just take my ball out - at $250 to replace a wedge not damaging them because of rocks )
Millcroft
Love this course. It’s always in great condition ( except the bunkers - not enough sand and it has rocks in it)!
The price is reasonable, the layout is challenging but reasonable. The course staff are really friendly and knowledgeable. The Ranger keeps the course moving but they are good at keeping the players happy. Tell the developers to take a hike this course is perfect. Lots of vacant land north of here - hopefully the residents will tell them the same as the Glen Abbey area and they go elsewhere
Conditions and greens were in great condition
Was able to shoot a personal best due to the quality of the greens and course. Despite being a little pricey, barely more than other courses in todays rates, the layout allows for clean play of every hole.
Hidden gem for sure
My first time here. I was surprised how much land and space there is given it is within the Millcroft housing estate. Not long (5900 from back) but some interesting holes. Par 5’s not long so scoreable, and par 3’s also generally quite short but often have water hazard in front. Definitely a hidden gem and will be back.
Fun course in the middle of the 'burbs
First time playing here and this course surprised me. It's tucked away in the middle of the suburbs with multiple street crossings, house lined fairways, etc. The latter may sound unfriendly but I didn't find the housing to encroach too much, with plenty of space around the greens. Good challenge with the layout.
Only downside was that we played in May, immediately after an overnight rain, which left the bunkers a bit like concrete but the rest of the course handled it very well. There was also a private group which limited food access. Minor inconveniences.
We played two rounds in one day, with only the first booked in advance. So that should tell you that we liked the course.
Not really walkable ….
Had the 3 grandsons out and pleased with on time tee time , friendly pro shop and friendly starter . I have been teaching my grandsons the first to letters in golf are G and O . Pace of play rush to ball take time on shot. Was pleased with our group walking we didn’t catch group ahead till 6 hole . The coarse is weaving though house after house and the extremely long walks between tee’s. Don’t think u can walk this comfortably. What I found odd my 17 year old couldn’t drive a cart ? He drives a 3,000 lb motorized vehicle on. 8 lane highways he bought himself but unable to drive a power cart ? Greens we ok fairways ok.
