Tyandaga Golf Course
About
Tyandaga Golf Course is located in the heart of Burlington surrounded by the rugged beauty of the escarpment that encloses it. The municipal course is popular for its player-friendly layout. It has a gentle nature but it does offer a fair amount of challenges. Bunkers are strategically situated along the fairways and greensides. There are also a few ponds and a meandering stream that comes into play on several holes. One of the most difficult holes is the par-3 ninth, which features hazards along the entire right side from tee to green. It is a beastly 168 yards but par is possible. The back nine finishes with a strong hole as well. Tyandaga's tricky final hole has out-of-bounds down the right side but there is ample room down the left side for the tee shot. The deep green is sloped front to back with a bunker to the front right.

Rain out
We were almost done the front nine before the rain came. And they won’t let on after the rain, got a rain check for the back nine.
Pleasantly Surprised
First time playing Tyandaga this season and I was most pleasantly surprised.
The tees, fairways, greens and bunkers were in excellent condition for the middle of the summer unlike previous summers when the course was so seriously burned out that it was difficult to keep the ball on the fairway. The superintendent and the grounds crew have done a remarkable job.
In addition the sausages that my partner and I munched on at the turn were most tasty.
Interesting and Challenging
Tyandega has some very challenging holes to keep you sharp. Interesting layout.
Fun course. Slow pace of play.
The course was fun. Some really interesting holes. Challenging club selection. Pace of play was very slow. Round took 5 hours. That was the only downside.
One of my Favourites ! I play this course at the beginning and the end of the season so that I can see if there's been any improvement in my game. My personal credo : If you can break 90 here then you can break 90 any where.
A $1M reno away from being a great course
I have played this course many times over the last 10 years, and sadly it seems to get ever so slightly worse each and every year. The bones of this course are there and has potential to be a great course. As a Burlington resident, i would approve if this city course pumped in a million (or two) and spruced it up, and in turn could charge more $. The golf carts are a lawsuit waiting to happen. Fix them, add protector shields. Make a whole cart path throughout the entire course. Spruce up the clubhouse. In doing so you could increase the fares by $10-$20 a round. And maybe that would push out some of the super casual golfers from coming who show up in jeans and just get drunk and show no care for the course. This course used to be pristine 10+ years ago. Sad to see it ever so slowly fall from geace
Good time
My foursome really liked the course, found it in good shape. Challenging greens, hard to read. They would want to play it again.
Right in Burlington
Good course right in town (Burlington). Reasonable price. Well organized. Nice condition.
Mature course with tree-lined relatively narrow fairways Good course to work on short game. Not a long track but hilly. Greens were slow but very true and well maintained Nice variety of holes. Would definitely play again.
great day
course was in great condition, some real challenging holes , a perfect golf day ....
Unfriendly staff
Was not greeted well. Ignored until I said something. Paired us with an 86yr old man th n asked why out round was so slow.
