Poor shape and poorly run, has potential but unlikely to be met.
It took 5.5 hours to play, the grass in the "fairways" was an inch long, greens were patchy, traps were nearly clay... The last two holes we had a group of 5 players ahead of us - apparently they had 2 tee times but the clubhouse told them to do group together as they knew each other... whether true or not, it indicates poor management (either by the clubhouse not understanding pace of play, or by the marshal not moving play along / busting that group). I did not see a marshal on course once the entire round.
My girlfriend also told me the ladies' room was outright unusable which really put a damper on her experience as well.
There was also a rule of one cart per group, so it's unplayable for anyone who struggles to get around the course on foot, as it is a long course with a lot of space between some tees.
Terrible Course
They only had one power cart available for our group despite us booking 2 carts for our foursome a week in advance. Fairways weren't cut, there was only rough where the fairway should be and fescue where the first cut should be. Greens are furrier than most fairways on other courses. Divots and dead grass everywhere.
Wouldn't recommend for the price.
Bad playing condition
The course is a complete mess. Weeds everywhere, greens can be passed as a tee box. No maintenance at all. For the price they are charging this is a disgrace.
Not worth it at half the price
Course was not ready to open. Especially not ready to charge full price! $80 and only 1 cart per foursome???
They should have either eeduced prices to represent the unprepared conditions or they should have stayed close until they could properly open.
Cut the grass!
The current conditions were absolutely horrendous! There are more dandelions and pussywillows then mowed acres of fairways.
I have got there in the past and like it so I returned. But, the current state is embarrassing!!
Not word the time neither the money
Had a 3:20 tee time, we arrived at 2:30 with the intention of hitting some balls at the range. Oh boy, the surprise when we enter the parking lot, a huge line just out from the clubhouse. Against all odds, the line was not to check-in, it was a waiting line for carts. They charge you an extra 20 bucks per person to get carts, so you pay 80 to get two carts in your foursome (not ok). After that, they don't have enough carts so people were delayed for more than one hour waiting for carts. Finally, we decided to walk instead of waiting forever. People arguing with the staff all over the place, very uncomfortable experience.
Once we get into the course, the grass is long, fairways seem like if it was the rough, and rough is just a jungle, impossible to find your ball even in the fairway. Bunkers are all damaged and most greens are terrible. After that, we realized the pace of play was just impossible, took us more than 5 hours finish our round (already after sunset).
While playing we saw many young people in the course driving carts and drinking without playing. Three carts for five people with only one golf bag for the whole group (three girls and two guys showing off), blasting music going into a green to take pictures of themselves while we were 150 yards from the green. They were not playing just jumping from one hole to the next one not following the other of the holes. We told them to get out of the green as it is dangerous, and we had people already behind us. Instead of being understanding they gave us the finger and yelled back (we couldn't understand what they said). A COMPLETE JOKE.
Seems like this is the place where you come to get hammered and swing here and there, but this is not a course to play any kind of gold properly. I would definitely encourage the administration to work on game protocol, ensure that the people in the course are they to play golf because when they are not the pace of the game and the safety of all of us is in danger.
On the bright side, the staff was very kind, at the end of the day they do as much as they can, there were only 4 people trying to deal with everything. This is clearly a management issue and a lack of interest from the owner.
Better value elsewhere
Course overbooked as result they ran out of carts. Ended up teeing off about 30 - 45 mins late. Could not tell difference between where fairway and rough were as it was overgrown.
Tee blocks were not cut and most greens were burnt out.
At 80 bucks there is better value at other courses.
Terrible
Greens are awful, blue tee boxes were a disaster. Not enough carts or pull carts, no Marshall. Beer cans and face masks all over the course. Pace of play was awful. Took 5.5 hours to play 18 holes.
Horrible course, will never be back.
First off, we had booked a 4 some for 3:10, with a cart. We had to wait in line for a cart(which we never got), and they went by who was on the list first, rather than who had an earlier tee time. So we ended up walking, starting 45 mins later . Then you couldn’t tell the difference between the rough and the fairway. Golfers at the course were not keeping up the pace, and people were being very loud and ignorant on the course. Cart girl didn’t show up to the 9th hole, didn’t even have water. Such a bad experience, didn’t even play the last 9. The ground was also as hard as a rock. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR YOUR TIME. I will never be back; or recommend this course to anyone. Huge waste of money.
Terrible course, over priced
They do not up keep the course. The fairway and the rough are both the same. They allow more than 4 people at 1 tee time. It is way to expensive for the condition of the course. You’ll loose a min. of 6-7 balls on the fairway. Stay far away from this course if you’re trying to have a good time
Very upsetting
Last year I was really impressed on how well the new owners were taking care of the course. Today was my first time playing this year and it was the worst experience ever. The grass was cut and lying all over ground where you could not find your ball. The weeds were so high, that all the white dandelions made it impossible to find your ball. The white and red course was terrible. The blue was not too bad. Price was way to high for this course. We paid $160.00 for two players and 1 cart. For $30.00 more, I could have played Lion Head or many other better courses.
Hopefully the pandemic hurt the course with upkeep due to financial situation. So I’m going to try again in a couple of weeks to see if they clean up the course.
