Banty's Roost Golf and Country Club - Blue/Red

Always enjoy playing here. Pace of play is always great which is first thing I look for when picking somewhere to go. The variety in the 3 9 hole courses is good with White being the hardest and the nicest.

Pro shop was very disorganized. Poor value for the money.

My friends and I decided to play a round on Father’s Day and decided on Banty’s Roost. It was a fairly hot and humid day so we would expect to see the cart girl out on the course. We did not see her once. And when we asked about it at the club house. The server said “well you’re seeing her now” pointing at her at the clubhouse. We asked if we would see her out on the white course as we were going to start there next. She said “for sure”. Did not see her once.

As for the pace of play, we started the front 9 on the Blue course. It took us almost 2hrs to play 4 holes. Waiting about 20mins at each tee box. Again like the cart girl, the course Marshall was nowhere in site. I called the pro shop and was told he was out there. Well apparently not on the blue course nor did we see him at all on the white course as well. We actually just left the blue course after 4 holes and headed over to the white course as we were told it was open.

Needless to say, I would steer clear of this course. So many other course at the same price point that has way better service and condition. Btw. I would have given the course and zero rating on course condition but the greens were in decent shape. I would not recommend this course to anyone.

Got a Hot Deal on a Tuesday so the pace was great. There were two of ua and only singles in front of us. The course is a little dry but the fairways and greens are in good shape. $36 with a cart is a great deal.

Wide open course hardly anyone there but a word to the wise The hot dogs are dried out and certainly not worth $7 a piece so grab a beer and play through.

I’ll start by saying that I booked my round through GolfNow for a “due at course” price if $40.00, when I got to the course there was nobody in the clubhouse to look after me even though I was one of the first tee times of the day. Finally I was attended to and told him I was a GolfNow booking, he said that’ll be $45.00, I said no it’s $40,00 he said that doesn’t include taxes and he proceeded to tell me it’s an amdrican company and they don’t add that on. (I later called GolfNow to find out if this was true and they indicated that I should have only paid the $40.00)

On the first hole I drove my ball into what was an overgrown sand trap full of weeds, thinking it was ground under repair I removed my back and played on. Only to discover that the course was riddled with bunkers in the same condition.

The faiireays were decent and the greens were a bit “fluffy” and slow.

My only other complaint was the grounds crew didn’t really care if you were pkaging or nit and at one point I waited over 5 minutes before one of the crew got off the green after repairing ball marks... he knew I was there but kept on doing what he was doing... this would never happen on a reputable course.

Overall, not an enjoyable round which is unfortunate as this course has some great potential.

Don’t think I will play here again as there are way better courses at similar value within close proximity.

This course is awful. Most of the fairway bunkers have fallen into a state of advanced disrepair ( and that's being respectful ) . The staff are kind of odd. They wouldn't even let us sign in till all were present and then, even though the course was virtually empty they teed is of right behind another group that were smoking for the whole time and were disrespectful of the etiquette regarding pace of play. Don't waste your time or money . There are way better options in the GTA

Great course but watch for the Marshals they hide away everywhere so keep your cart off the par 3s.

Found the owner a little bit of a grump, food prices a little high for early in the season, Staff were all great.

Some nice par 5s so you can let the driver fly.

When we arrived , the proshop man made us

wait 15 minutes He said '"come back in 15 minutes since you are golfnow people. You are paying way less than our normal rate." So we waited. No one else came. the course was empty. Then he dealt with us and we played. Of course there was no one ahead of us, which was nice. We are unlikely to return due to the unfriendliness of this man. He made us feel like thieves for using golfnow.

We hit the ball and had a walk with buddies....All was well....thank you for having us. 3 out of five! Not bad :)
