Beaverdale Golf
Course was in good condition except for bunkers. The bunkers had not been dressed and were crusted from recent rains, making for difficult sand play. Greens were slightly slow as might be expected in early season conditions but were smooth and putted true
BEAVERDALE
Short course, some short par 4's that have some challenge to them.
Several holes were cart path only due to heavy rains recently,. some were marked others weren't but marshals were present and advised not to be on those that were path only and were friendly about it.
Had cart problems with both, one stalled in fairway other had a flat tire.
Some tee boxes overlook paths. look before you hit, as golfers tend to wander through the sight lines.
Not bad condition, greens were slow due to rain, but fair and consistent
Good course for rec golfers, but had a good day in spite of cool and windy weather and would like to play when a bit drier.
Nice lttle course.
It's a nice short course with fairly consistent, good condition greens. The greens can be littered with a bit of tree debris, small twigs and such, so you may need to clear your putt path. Fairways are not a tight grass, but they're ok. The tee blocks are a bit small and their conditions could definitely be better. The only real issue I have a problem with here are the lack of yardage markers on the par 3 tees. Overall though, I think it's priced well and all the staff I've encountered have been very friendly and courteous.
Given directions to the pro shop politely by a woman in an office with her door open.
Welcomed by a young lady in the pro shop and informed I should have brought my Golfnow confirmation to show a cart was included in our round as that info doesn't show on her computer. No problem we got the cart.
Playing #1 on the far side of the fairway a man came out in a marshals cart to inform us it's cart path only. We apologized and said we didn't know, hadn't been told or seen any signs. At the green he came out again and gruffly told us the pro shop HAD informed us of path only (they hadn't) and the pro had arrived and told him to tell us if we were caught off the path again, we were gone ! Stayed on the paths and never saw him again.
The course was in very good shape considering all the rain last week. Great value on Golfnow with 1 day advance booking.
Golfnow: Their new policy of accepting rewards promo codes only 3 or more days in advance of your round sucks.
At this course it would cost at least $9 more to book 3 days ahead to save $10 on the reward. Not much of a reward ??
Fun and scenic course
This course was very enjoyable. Greens were in good shape and fairways were OK too. I'd play here again. My thanks to the staff and management at Beaverdale!
Good Lay Out
Good value -- easy walk -- friendly staff -- centra location -- coarse for all ages -- pace of play is usually good --- 19 hole is a good stop. Although we have had a lot of rain coarse was still very playable--- staff working hard to maintain coarse.
Fall colour
We enjoyed the weather and all the fall colours. As a result there were lots of leaves to loose ball in. Play was fast and lots of interesting holes.
Narrow fairways on a lot of holes - a good challenge to keep the play in the fairway
Course was in good shape, Marshall was very friendly. Would play this course again
Course is in great shape
Took my 14 year old son out for a golf game which was 3hrs45 mins long which was great. The course was in better shape than expected and greens were in great shape. Great value for the money and would play again!
A fun relaxing round
A very nice relaxed day ,nobody rushing you.
Food at 9 was slow all else great.
Good if cheap
Short and fun but nothing special
Great Course!
Course is great, Was fairly played out. IS a narrow course so other greens are pretty close to one another.
would not recommend
terrible course, typical golf north course be prepared for a 7 hour round
Lots of trees. Put on bug spray.
There was a tournament the day of our booking. The staff had us start on the back 9. We were not interrupted and the pace of play was very good.
Great course but a tournament was on!
I played this course with 4 friends. We had carts and a good golfers. We teed off twenty minutes late because of a 90 player tournament. The round took us 3.5 hours to do 9 holes. Luckily we had the beer cart girl to talk too.
it was a good day until
If it wasnt for golfnow and a great deal, :"I paid around 45 dollars for 2 players with a cart". I wouldnt have played this course today.
Even though the greens are slow and bumpy the course is in decent shape but not worth much more then 35 with a cart per person.
We were having a good day and the weather was holding up so after we bought some food ,beers and played 18 we asked how much they would charge for a 2nd round replay for 2 players and the price they wanted was ... $126.00, thats right $126.00 more and it was after 3 oclock..lol...
I didnt know the the 2nd round replay was 3 times more then what we originally paid and twilight to boot, they better be thankful that the cart girls ease the pain of playing at this course
I will only play there for less then 30 dollars and forget the same day replay...
Good Value
If you keep your prices lower than other courses this, in itself, will certainly help to attract average golfers who are looking for a quality course at a reasonable price. We also hope that your greens will improve with better weather as we found them bumpy and in need of a cutting. We were impressed on how nice your washrooms/locker rooms are and this is very meaningful. We will be playing Beaverdale, again, soon.
Experience with Golf Now
It was quite enjoyable and I would definitely play this course again and will bring a friend the next time.
