Enjoyed course. Very picturesque back 9.

In great condition given lack of rain.

I had played this course with friends who are members several times before but my son had never had the opportunity. I booked this for his birthday. It was expensive but I always liked the course. The tee time booked was 9:10 am but there were other Golfnow times available until approx. 9:30 am. When we arrived at the course at 8:35 am we were told that there was a tournament that day starting at 1:00 pm, They "hoped" that we would get our round in. They didn't unload our clubs, or put them on a cart etc. The young man responsible was not friendly to my son (who is 33)Then sent us off early off the back (10th hole). The manager just said to check to make sure no one was coming up the 9th hole. When we got to the tee there was a group of ladies that came up behind us. They said it was ok if we went if we hurried. Wanting to get our round in we did, but it was a very rushed start. The tee blocks were not even set up. We sped through the first two holes and got ahead of them with no one in front of us. Then we were constantly waiting for grounds crew members who were cutting grass, blowing it off the fairways etc. We had to wait for them, not the other way around. Not blaming them as they were clearly preparing the course for the tournament. I have played golf all over the world at some very prestigious courses and this experience was not at all enjoyable. The service was very poor. The course if beautiful but if that's the way they treat visitors I wouldn't play there again.
