Carlisle Golf and Country Club - North/East
About
Nestled in a small community just 10 minutes north of Burlington, Ontario, Carlisle Golf & Country Club offers a convenient and affordable golf. The club is open to the public but still offers the benefits of a private club with perfect conditions on all of the golf courses and a friendly, helpful staff.
The North Course is the longest of the three at 3,409 yards from the back tees. There is a fair amount of trees scattered throughout the golf course and the well manicured fairways are always in good condition.
The East Course is the shortest. At 3,179 yards from the back tees, Carlisle Golf & Country Club's East Course is not significantly shorter in length but it is easier than the other two courses. There are trees along the fairways and the manicured greens putt true. There are also several tee deck options to accommodate players of all skill levels.

Great Day For Fathers
Pace of play was descent at 4 1/4 hours. The course is in great condition and the staff are friendly. This is one of the few courses in the area that the rates are somewhat affordable... when you get a deal. I continue to enjoy playing this course.
Meh
I found the course dangerous with almost being hit 5-6 times in the 18 holes....
Cart Mandatory 👎
Carlisle is a great walkable course but on weekends you now have to take a cart and the cost has sky rocketed!! The deal I got on GolfNow was great but my friends and I quit going to Carlisle because of the increased prices and mandatory cart rule!
Great course, staff questionable
Beautiful course, but staff was quite angry when we had played until the sun (8:30) had set. Seemed odd as courses are quite understanding you play until you can’t. Ruined the experience but course was still beautiful. Did South and East
Smooth Greens
Even with carts there was still waiting on many shots.
The course is in pretty good condition.
The staff were very friendly.
Carlisle has raised their prices quite a bit the past couple of years, but Golfnow makes it affordable... for me. $86 including tax and fee.
The layout is not difficult and amenities are average.
Fun Track
Played North and South courses. Great condition considering the rain we have had. Greens slow and grainy understandingly but are great when cut and dry!!
Staff terrific from check in to starter (who manages the 3 nine hole tracks) to half way house!
Round was 4 hours and 10 minutes on a Friday afternoon......
Great course
The course and all the amenities are great. The only thing is we booked on Ladies league day which slowed the pace of play about 30 mins. If you want to avoid this don’t book in a Monday or Tuesday.
Power Cart Issue
I booked the course through a hot deal, which I understood included a power cart, so I expected to play with my own cart.
However, when I arrived, the starter told me I had to give up the cart and join another player.
I explained that I had already paid for the hot deal and that the cart fee was included, but he was not friendly and told me he had already spoken to the manager — which I found hard to understand.
So if you're planning to book this golf club, be prepared for possible issues like this — even if you've already paid in advance.
