Fun Round
Had a great day out on the course at Humber Valley. One of the best things about this place is that you truly feel like you've escaped to the country, even though you're right in the city. You'll still hear the occasional siren, plane, or traffic noise to remind you where you are, but the scenery is fantastic.
The course itself was in fairly good shape for this time of year. It looks like the greens were aerated recently, which made for a bumpy putting experience, but that's just part of seasonal maintenance. The pace of play was a bit on the slow side, and we didn't see the beverage cart until we were on the 14th hole, which was a bit of a wait.
Despite those minor things, it was still a great experience overall. It's a wonderful option for a convenient round of golf without having to leave the city.
Good to Play
The course is a good combination of Par 5, 4 & 3. Within the city the course is keep in a good condition. The only concern I have is a pace of play. The Marshals are not doing their job to keep everyone within their pace of play. They need to be out there on the course and keep golfers moving. Surprisingly Golf Now doesn't offer any deals for all City courses of Toronto. They do need to something about it.
May be best Toronto muni
Expect a LONG round on nice weekend days. Earlier you get here the better. Easily walkable. Tight and moderately difficult. Water hardly comes into play. Save energy for the two back to back par 5's on the back. 16 and 17.
Good, fair, flat and tight. As usual - aim for the 150 stake.
