Not Up To Par
Some of the staff seemed standoffish. Several greens were in very poor condition (apart from the aeration).
Bills itself as a "special" course to play. I would disagree.
Might be nicer in prime summer.
Great for a last minute round
There’s usually times available at this course due to it being somewhat near the city and also over priced. I’ve shot my best and worst round of the year here, it can be punishing but also let’s you score well if you can keep the ball in the fairways. The tee boxes are pretty crap but it’s a beautiful course and the marshals actually do their job which is nice. The greens are a bit bumpy due to it being November and they’ve recently aerated but typically they’re in decent shape. If this course wasn’t close to downtown Toronto it’d be worth under $100 a round on weekends but really the tee boxes and price are my only gripes.
I forgot how much I liked this course
It had been a few years since I played this course, and I was completely enthused by returning there. It requires some 'shotcrafting', thinking your way through it. It's not so bad that you run away frustrated, but enough to let you know that you can't just 'blast and hope.'
Unfortunately, many of the greens had been aerated, which made for some less than fun putting. This was noted at the clubhouse, but not on the Golfpass app, which was somewhat disappointing. Yes, October is aeration time, but not mentioning it is somewhat deceptive.
That said, I will definitely return.
Terrible maintenance.
Tee boxes are in terrible shape. Like really bad. Fairways and greens were ok but nothing spectacular. Garbage everywhere on the course. Extremely overpriced for the experience that you get. Would not recommend at all.
Always a challenge
A fairly tight, ‘target golf’ course, right on the flight path to Pearson airport, so little noisy at times. The course is well laid out, and maintained, and well worth a visit if you have not played it before.
It’s a shame there is almost always an event going on in the clubhouse, so a post-round drink is not possible.
If you have not played it, you should. If you have played it, You know what to expect, and it is in good condition.
