Located only minutes away from downtown Hamilton and offering a spectacular view of the city, the Chedoke Golf Club features two 18-hole championship golf courses. Nestled under the Niagara Escarpment, the Beddoe Course, a Stanley Thompson design, is a wonderfully scenic, challenging and demanding. It plays 6,084 yards from the championship tees.

BETTER PIN PLACEMENT
I have played this course hundreds of times and The ONE MAJOR PROBLEM is that the Grounds Crew/Course Layout Person has No Clue as to where Tee Boxes, Pins/Holes should be placed. Pace of Play would increase greatly. On average at this course, if there is "THAT GROUP, The SPECIAL FOURSOME" LOL, that takes 6 hours to play 18 Holes then everyone behind them, takes 6 hours to complete their round. Marshalling also would increase Pace of Play. It generally takes about 4 1/2 hours to play on a good day with a somewhat decent Pace of Play. As far as weekends go, you would need minimum 6-7 hours for your round ! It's a Good Course that could be a Great One with a few simple and strategic Tee Box Spacing(Make the BLUES+ DIFFICULT, WHITES- NOT SO DIFFICULT & REDS- EASY), Pins/Holes Placement(Are in Inappropriate Areas)and to boot the MARSHALLING(NEED TO BE MORE OBSERVANT)! This would all make Chedoke, both The Beddoe & The Martin, a truly Great Course! Btw, Of the 3 Public Golf Courses in Hamilton, Kings Forest is by far The Better Course, it checks all boxes, has all of these necessities and requirements. Hopefully Chedoke, can make this side as good as Kings Forest for Us. Cheers and keep golfing!
Greens aerated
Would have been nice to know before making 1.5 hr drive to play that it was just done. Of course no discount to be had because of the greens. I wish Golf Now would have the aeration alert as they had in the past.
Beautiful urban course
Lots of fun with my son….. super value….. lots of interesting holes… some tough ones where the water carry is just in front of the green!….l just wish more casual golfers would learn to fix their ball marks better,…really fun experience
Beddoe great value
course is in good condition except traps are unkept. Just rake it up like a real trap and then make your sand shot.
Hidden gem in Hamilton
Beddoe presented it's challenges but it's fair. The biggest challenge is the putting green. Overall it's excellent value for the price. Well worth it.
Beddoe
I played the Beddoe for the first time. My dad was a Bandit. I had such a good time, the course is challenging. The course is beautiful and so is the view of parts of the city. The staff are very friendly and the food was good. I would definately recommend this course.
