Northern Dunes Golf Club
About
Northern Dunes Golf Club is a 18-hole championship course that tumbles across the gently rolling landscape of Bruce Peninsula. The front nine lays across natural sand dunes and while the back nine's landscape required a bit more work, it manages to seamlessly blend with the surroundings. Steve Young, the course architect, incorporated the classic elements of a traditional Scottish links layout but he also wanted the course to have a thoroughly modern feel. The result is a challenging design featuring large greens and over 50 bunkers filled with natural sand strategically placed throughout. The prevailing northwest winds provide another tricky element. Northern Dunes G.C. is ideally situated less than 10 miles from Lake Huron and Sauble Beach and is accessible from all directions.

Nice course
Nice course to play. Would have walked if the cart wasn't included as there was shady areas and treed.areas to walk through. Offers 4 tee boxes which allows for all levels of play. Sand traps were large but hard sand making them easy to hit out of.
Great shape
Greens and fairway in good shape. Beer is cold, the weather made the day.
Northern Dunes
Course was in great shape. Very challenging. Weather was excellent. Great day. hope to do it again.
Excellent Value
My wife and I recently retired in the area after having lived and golfed in the GTA for most of our lives. The course was in excellent shape considering the damage from the brutal winter on other courses. The course design fit into the area landscape and proved moderate challenge for both of us. The staff were extremely friendly which is commonplace the Bruce Peninsula. We would definitely play Northern Dunes again!
Great day at Northern Dunes
Went online in the morning of July 1st to see if by chance there was a good deal on golf and found a great deal at Northern Dunes. My wife, son and myself golfed 18 holes and had a fantastic day. Highly recommend this course!
This course is in its best shape ever...
I've played ND a lot but this is the best I've ever seen the course at this time of year. My son-in-law is bringing a group of his work friends up here next weekend, which is high praise from him. Not only did we have a great (and quick) round, he shot an Albatross (2) on the par-5 9th, draining a 5-iron from 205 yards. That's probably the only one I'll ever see in my lifetime!
Great value
My wife and had not played this course for 6 or 7 years and we were pleasantly surprised with all the improvements that have been made. We thou roughly enjoyed our game and will defiantly play there again and be telling our friends about it.
Great Day at the Dunes!
We had a great day playing Northern Dunes it is a challenging course. The course plays long with a good mix of long par 4's and ones more reasonable for the shorter hitters. I especially like the par threes all good holes with unique layouts. The greens were in very good shape rolled smooth and true. The fairways were very firm and a little sparse but not bad. If you get off the fairway you will be challenged with deep grass or sand. We paid $50 with a cart and it was a good value.
Good Course
I did not have any issue with this course. Game moved quickly. Both the sand traps and greens are in good condition.
Course itself is well maintained. I did not see much of the club house.
Good Round
Best shape I've seen this course in 10 yrs, great pace of play. Will be back.
Tough test and in great condition
Course is in great shape, greens rolling very true and hold nicely
good value
good greens and the sandtraps had real sand and were well maintained..pace of play was excellent on a Sunday afternoon..different tee blocks make it a friendly course for even high handicap golfers...only negative is a dusty gravel parking lot and dusty cartpaths.
Excellent course, one of our family favorites, Greens and fairways in good shape,
I love this course. The staff are very friendly. It is very efficient and organized when you arrive with minimal registration time to get you out on the course quickly. I love the thoughtfulness of putting score cards at the start of the second hole, and the clubhouse phone number at the 8th, so you can phone in a quick lunch. A little pricy though on the food prices.
Bad Front Nine
This is a tale of 2 courses. The front nine fairways barely have any decent turf. Meanwhile the back nine are in great shape. There doesn't seem to be any effort made to remedy the situation.
