Unfriendly staff
Staff member mentioned the driving range was closed ,, I asked could we at least practice our chipping he said absolutely as long as you retrieve your own balls ,, we are chipping for a total of 10 minutes , some staff member comes up yells at us and asked what we are doing ,, we explained that the staff member that check us in said we could chip,, staff member then came out and lied and said he never said that we could ,, made us feel as if we were vandalizing the course it ruined the whole experience ,,, even threatened to not let us play are round,,, made us all feel very awkward so none of us are ever going back there again
Great, fun course
Very good course. Fun to play. Nice playing partners. Friendly staff. Good carts. Very good greens. Only negatives were the bunkers (not much sand in them) and the group in front of us. They didn’t care about pace of play or removing any ball marks. I fixed on average 4 ball marks per green and only one of them was mine. They were also quite obvious to see because of their size and their proximity to the hole. Otherwise a really fun day with nice people on very good course at the beginning of autumn.

Wow!!
Even on a cloudy rainy day Loch March was amazing. This course is absolutely gorgeous and in great condition. The greens are mint!. Staff is amazing. Thank you so much. I will be back!!

Another great day
Unfortunately there was a power outage at the course so the clubhouse was closed, however, the staff made the best of it and the golf was fantastic.
We want to express our sincerest appreciation for your patience and understanding during the recent power outage. We have passed your very kind comments on to the team members who had to deal with these challenging circumstances. Loch March team members did point out that our guests were overwhelmingly understanding on that day, and we are very grateful for this. The lights are back on in our Clubhouse after some significant repairs to the main transmission line. We hope to be able to welcome you again soon!

Love this course
Great course and super friendly staff. The greens were in good condition and true. Overall a beautifuly layed out course !
Only complaint is that players need to fix their divots.

Very friendly staff
I was late for half an hour because the main highway was closed but the very friendly staff quickly put me with another 2 young golfers on the next available tee time. We had a good time and I tried to keep up with them on most of the holes. We finished in 4 hours which could be less if we did not have to wait a few on several holes.

Amazing Course
The only negative issue with the round were the mosquitos because of the recent rains. But the course was in great condition. Very memorable experience. I would put this this course on my to play again list. Can't wait to come back. (minus the mosquitos)
Thanks for taking the time and reviewing Loch March. We have been in direct contact with the City of Ottawa anti-mosquito squad and learned that Kanata North is one of the first areas in Ontario where experts are attempting to control a new invasive species of mosquito. The spring floods and persistent rains left the grounds so saturated that water would just pool and not seep into the ground - ideal conditions for mosquitoes to breed. Our guests have been reporting fine playing conditions throughout the day for several weeks now. We look very much forward to welcoming you again!

Merci d'avoir partager vos commentaires au sujet de Loch March. Nous avons été en contact avec l'escouade anti-moustique de la Ville d'Ottawa qui tente de contrôler la propagation d'une nouvelle espèce de moustiques qui a fait son apparition en Ontario cet été. Nous sommes heureux de constater que la présence de moustiques a considérablement décru ces derniers temps. Au plaisir de vous accueillir à nouveau!
Fun and Challenging
Overall a fun and challenging course. Good topography, challenging sand trap placement and water hazards. A bit jammed in terms of number of people playing the course. Fairways and greens in very good condition. Some mosquitos and deer flies so bring the bug juice! Would definitely recommend the course.

Best course conditions in Ottawa
Course is in the best shape by far out of any course around! Greens are beautiful. Great fairways and tee blocks. Best bang for the buck.

Course was great, price was great, most staff were great. Mainly just a complaint about the attitude of the other golfers on the course of the day and the specific marshall working who had a poor ability to identify and resolve issues of pace of play and golf etiquette. We were a foursome and the Marshall kept pushing twosomes through us, we finished in 4hrs 7minutes after playing three twosomes through which is a reasonable time on its own before you consider all the time we spent waiting for groups to play through us. The golfers behind us most of the round were running & sprinting on the greens taking short cuts to the tee boxes and playing into us repeatedly, all of which didn’t concern the Marshall just that we were behind pace of the twosomes on his course.

Fantastic condition
Unlike most of the courses in the Ottawa area, this course is in outstanding condition. Great patio with good food and friendly service. This is a challenging course, so play from the appropriate tee boxes. Friendly Marshalls ensure good pace of play. If looking for appropriate public course, play this one.
