About
Thunderbird Sports Centre boasts Ottawa's only lighted par-3 golf course. The family-friendly course is ideal for beginners and juniors. The nine-hole layout has a classic design that is not overly formidable but it's great for sharpening your short game and course-management skills regardless of skill level. Water comes into play only on the second hole but there are bunkers protecting nearly all of the greens and some holes are framed by mature trees. It's a golf course that can accommodate a wide range of skill levels, from juniors just beginning to learn the game to more advanced players who want to squeeze in a quick round. The golf course is open well into the evening and the affordability makes it doubly appealing. Thunderbird Sports Centre is s also conveniently located less than 25 minutes from downtown Ottawa.

Great day of golf
Great course for working on my short game. Love the layout, 5th time playing this course, we’ll be back.
Great little course
This was my second time shooting Thunderbird. It's a nice little course with a few hazards. It's great for beginners as it is not intimidating. It's irons and wedges only so leave your woods in the car. I like that pull carts are included - no nickel and diming. The practice putting green is good for warming up. You can replay the course at a reduced rate to make it 18 holes.
Fun, Friendly Course
In my experiences at this course, it is a fun and friendly course. Everyone is laid back and just out to enjoy a quick round of golf. It's family friendly and often has kids on the course. It's easily walkable; we only used the golf cart this time because of the extreme heat.
Great afternoon
Took our grandson out for the first time. Perfect course to show a new golfer the game. No pressure from people in front or behind us. Tee off times were well spaced out making our grandson’s lessons less stressful. Perfect course for a game of nine. Well groomed too. Two thumbs up!
Fun course for intermediate golfer.
This is a great little course. As an intermediate golfer who is still learning the game, the par 3s are not intimidating. I like that the cost included a pull cart. Power carts are also available. It's a quick course and you can replay another 9 for $10.
Great game
Wonderful course. Well groomed. Perfect for walking 9 holes. First time out after hip surgery and it was easy to navigate and just the right amount of exercise. We will be back.
