Hickory Ridge Golf and Country Club

Nice track but a little tight at times resulting in a lot of ball coming into your fairway. Too many par 4's. Plus greens were just air raided which makes putting frustrating.

This course was/is too short for long hitters but it is nice looking and has many scenic holes. Good course to take your wife to. A lot of respect for notifying ppl about aeration of greens. Made putting difficult but they warned you which is honest and ill def be back to see how they play and to stick my 3 iron on the 230 yard par three and eliminate 4 strokes

Hickory Ridge is one of the best short courses I've played, it's well maintained and is a great course for any skill level.

This course has many interesting holes.
Winding creeks throughout: Short to tall trees in abundance, making some fairways narrow to negotiate. Water ponds scattered about. A joy to play.

Very nice course and fairways were nice and lush. Not to many challenges though, few bunkers and greens were flat so not very challenging for those who like a bit more of a test.overall a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon

Always enjoy playing Hickory Ridge. This last round was my best played round of the year and the best I have played at the course. It is a shorter overall course with only one par 5 and and overall par of 68/69 depending on the tee blocks you are hitting from. We ended up behind a slow foursome that did not allow us to pass even though we were waiting at a number of the blocks. Took just under 4 1/2 hours to play the round when it should take closer to 3 1/2.

I was paired up with three others. Pace of play was an issue on the front nine. The course is in fairly good condition, aside from the inconsistent green speeds. What I like about the course is, because it so short you have the ability to play just about all the clubs in your bag. Certainly not worth the non "hot deals" rate of over 30$ if you can get the hot deal. Go out and play you will enjoy it

Not a difficult course ,but still a challenge. Even though we rode, an easy course to walk. Greens responsive and well manicured.

Overall a great course. The only downfall for me was the amount of par 4 holes on this course

The course is in great shape for May. We played Forest City National last week and their greens are in very poor shape - winter kill and re-planting.

Conditions were very good. Very nice scenery. Pace was some what slow but well worth it. Can't wait to go back and try again.

If I was taking someone out for their first round of golf it would be to this course.

This was my first time at this course and I enjoyed it, it was not overly challenging but I did enjoy the driveable par 4s!

Conditions good. Doing repair on one of the greens but overall very good.

Friendly staff, greens were ok, it was a very windy day hard to judge club selection.

Played here before. Much more enjoyable this time as they had a starter and great kitchen and shop staff. Menu had great features at a fair price and the spring rates for golf were very fair!

The problem we had was with your website description. We were supposed to receive a cart to play our round of 18 and when we arrived they were not letting anyone on the course with a Cart. This became a problem and I'm not in the condition to walk comfortably. Tony Kosac

this is a fairly nice golf course but it is very poorly
managed when it comes to tee times and pace
of play--they gave us a tee time in the middle of the womens league and we got stuck behind three golfers who actually took measurements on the green to
see whose turn it was to putt. There is no ranger
and when I complained in the pro shop after nine,
they basically said "tough luck" this is a public
golf course?????? This is the second time we have
had difficulties and the group behind us confimed that there was an issue regarding confusion of tee times. Last time we were there we spent some good money in the pro shop, so they have lost two good customers--we will not be back.

It's nice to find good golf prices now. I mean, I'm glad I did not pay full pop of 40+ dollars to play this course. We tee'd off behind 4 groups of 4 ladies who were out for a party and had to have a pow wow at every shot. As you can expect, this took forever. It seemed the marshall was doing nothing to get them moving either. We arrived early to use the driving range but that was of course closed. When we checked in the counter rep said I was supposed to have my printout of the confirmation. My email confirmation didn't mention I am to bring it. He says its for their audit purposes for showing free golf but he'd let it go this time and he could print one out. If you want to cover your audits and you have the power, you print it out. Don't challenge a customer. The front counter guy explained the course is wet and not to drive on the fairway or the groundskeeper would take our cart keys and we'd have to walk in the mudd. If the course is in that bad of condition, then you should shut it down. Instead, the course was filled to capacity, or so it seemed. The counter guy was run thin between doing the till, proshop, washing carts and being the starter. Poorly managed. Im sure the course is nicer on a beautiful hot summer day but this day rained in morning and the course was just mud. We didn't even stick around for the full 18. The slow party group ahead of us played 18 and we were not about to play a 6 hour match with carts!

They do not seem to like golf now patrons......will not golf course again....treated us like second class citizens....course was not busy but insisted we wait for our tee off time only because we were booked with another golf now twosome..if we were just green feeers we would have got off earlier than our tee time. They then relented and finaaly let us go off after much conversation...not a nice stuation as pro shop had other people milling around who were shopping etc and had finished golfing.......embarrassing.....advised us that management rule is golfnow patrons will not be allowed to go off early under no circumstances.....
