Course suffering from lack of water, both rain and sprinkler system.
Fairways showing lots of severe dryness
Tee boxes very spottty , some will not take a tee, so hard.
Greens are. Very spotty.
Try course end of June, maybe some water will have helped.
Fun morning had!
It had been a couple years since playing the hickory and it felt good to be back! Staff was kind, the course was in great shape even had some nice fall views thanks to the trees, will definitely be back before the end of the season
Thames Valley Hickory 9
Usually not busy during weekdays afternoon. Finished 9 holes in 1.5 hrs.
Very nice course, really well maintained. Did’n’t use a cart and there are s lot of hills on the nine hole. On this course it would be worth renting a cart. Had a snack on rhe deck and food was good, staff friendly.
Disruptive Staff
Two major issues with our experience in September 7, 2022.
We teed off over 20 minutes after the group ahead of us. We had to wait for over 5 minutes on the second hole because they were picking fruit and not playing. Spent a long time looking for every ball they lost.
The second, and more major issue was the disruptive staff. There is a tractor drive shed beside the 8th (I think) green and employees were very loud, tractor hooked up and took off bucket twice while we were putting and golf cart with loud trailer drove infront of the green as we were chipping. Very dissatisfied with our experience and lack of respect and awareness of employees, who are knowingly working at a golf course.
Other then that the course was in relatively good condition and no major concerns.
Good Value
If you want a quick game and to work on your iron play this is a great little course to play on. Played nine holes in 1 1/2 hours playing by myself. Good little track for $23.

Real proper fairways very nice needs more signs to next holes thanks clubhouse needs updating etc
Needs better grounds maintenance
...if you could stay on the fairway with your tee shot, you were good, if you rolled off, even a foot or two, the grass was at least 6 to 8 inches, making it very difficult to find even a good tee shot...the greens were good...
