Fun learning course

This is a well-tended and very economical par 3 course that I've enjoyed playing with my kids for the last 10 years. I focus on well-tended, because I've shown up to play at sunrise, and the owner is out tending to problem spots on green, top-dressing divots and just generally taking care of things.

Nothing fancy - a cozy shack where you can get a quick snack and pay $12 for a round of 9-hole golf ($10 for juniors), and 9 holes that range from 85 yards (1 hole) to 160 yards (3 holes). Multiple rounds are discounted, and frequent play cards make it very economical if you know you're going to make several trips.

Pace of play can get pretty slow in the afternoon, so I've always headed out early with my young ones. But it's a fun place to learn to play golf, or sharpen your short game.
