Great day!
Course was great. Greens were very soft which helped our chipping. I wish other players would fix their ball marks on the greens.
Great course, off-course experience could improve.
No complaints about the golf course. Very well maintained. Greens are in great shape. Rough is tough, but fair.
Was most disappointed with the back shop and clubhouse staff. Know it's getting towards the end of the season, but when you're paying $185 for a 4.5 hour plus round at a public track, the experience should match the quality of the golf course. This wasn't the case at Angus Glen.
Clubhouse staff couldn't have been less friendlier. Backshop staff were useless. Divot mix bottles empty. No scorecards on carts. Ball and club washers with no water/soap. Asked where to drop our cart after the round - staff member didn't even lift his head, but just pointed around the corner rather than offer to take the cart from where we were, like he should have.
It's too bad really, because Angus Glen is a nice, fun and challenging golf course. But from a service perspective, there are other courses I'd rather spend $200 at.
Neglected
Sadly this course is neglected. Greens were overly damaged for the time at which we tee'd off. Fairways bunkers, rough and some fairways were overcome with weeds up to a foot high.
Absolutely not worthy of the $225 green fee
Beautiful Day
Excited to play a top GTA course. Price is a bit high for average players. Conditions were good, a few greens were suffering. Pace of play was excellent for a Sunday afternoon.
Unfortunately not worth the price
Crabgrass and weed rough. 10inch high unkempt weeds around fairway bunkers. Unfortunate damage to greens. All good but not considering the $200 green fees. Would not recommend nor return at that price.
Tough course, good challenge
The greens are in terrible shape. Halfway house “sold out” of all food except one hamburger. Weird
struggling
Course layout is to my liking. good mix for all skill levels. however since there is an abundance of golfers that clearly don't care. The greens do not roll even close to true. Weeks worth of spike marks and pitch marks on every green. it was like playing plinko and nobody wins at plinko. it's a shame too, I first played this course 20 years ago and it was immaculate. The culture of helping greens keepers and respecting the fact there are other golfers on the course appears to be waning. :(
GONE DOWNHILL
Course needed upkeep, greens had bare patches, had to wait until the gave you a key to the carts, no water stations on the course, not even bottled water on the carts. Better courses for a similar price with none of the above mentioned issues. last time i'll play there. I'v played Angus Glen since it opened.
