Round Review
Because of rain the previous day, carts were not permitted on the course for the entire round. That made for a considerably longer day, but the most frustrating part was club selection as the walks just to get to your ball were long on many holes and unless you brought half your bag with you, you ended up using what was in your hand instead of going back and forth. Not an ideal experience for a course like this, but overall the staff were very courteous and friendly.
Pace of Play
Great course, staff were great and conditions are pretty good, bunkers are a little thin on sand.
Pace of play was not great. I ended up playing alone which was great, didn't see anyone on the first two holes. Third hole I had caught up. 2 men 2 women, no problem. I deliberately tried to play very slow. Pacing out putts and going through every routine, also brought my Journal 18 and tried writing out all sorts of notes to distract from the delays. It is no fault of the people in front of me as they had a 4 some ahead of them and so on. Within a few holes the 4 some behind me had caught up. Ended up waiting around 5-7 minutes per shot/tee box for the rest of the round. Given the premium pricing I'm not sure how there are members as I would go crazy.
poor greens and lazy staff
For the money they charge the course was in terrible shape. Greens were extremely slow 7 or below on the stamp meter. I've played golf for 40 years and these greens were terrible!!!!! Weeds all over the fairway and rough. Sand traps were like cement. One of the staff members actually told me to go return the cart all the way to the back as it was was policy ---i respectly ignored the lad and just shook my head
What a terrible experience., never again at this course!!!
North course
Staff was very friendly and nice. Greens were a little chopped but im chalking it up to it being the first week of summer. Besides that fairways and bunkers were in great condition. Will definitely be back!
Cart path only
If the course decided for cart path only on every holes in the morning then it should be immediately notified by email to all golfers that booked for the day. Unfortunately in my group there are two senior golfers felt uncomfortable with their joints after the game. Your attention to this matter is much appreciated.
Not as good as it used to be
The course is a shadow of its former self. Terrible conditions on many tee boxes. Horrific driving range conditions. Bunkers were okay in some cases and terrible in others. I would not recommend spending $200 to golf Angus Glenn. Many better , cheaper options out there. The decline is sad to see.
2 hours 55mins to play 8 holes off at 10:30 am, greens are also very slow
Marshall cared about someone got bit by a bug and pace of place was not his problem at this time,
Teeboxes are run down and for the money id rather stay at home, ive played over 100 different courses in 2025 and this is so bad!
I hope you have all day on the weekends
Played this track twice in the past two weeks. Both on weekends. I know, that’s on me. Other group we were paaired with complained about slow play. They sent out a marshal. He told us it was 15 min per hole pace expectations. But they book tee times every 10 minutes?! You do the math. I like the course and the layout. We were waiting at least 5 min every tee box which was annoying. Will try a weekday and early … hoping for better pace. Wish me luck.
Not As Expected
We played our first round at Angus Glenn and unfortunately the course is in terrible condition. The entire course is bone dry, even the fairways are not in terrible condition. The marshal picked up on of the guys golf balls he had shot and were rushing us only to find that we were waiting for golfers on the next hole. This course has alot of work to do, especially at $200/round. We wont be back.
