Not as good as it used to be
The course is a shadow of its former self. Terrible conditions on many tee boxes. Horrific driving range conditions. Bunkers were okay in some cases and terrible in others. I would not recommend spending $200 to golf Angus Glenn. Many better , cheaper options out there. The decline is sad to see.
2 hours 55mins to play 8 holes off at 10:30 am, greens are also very slow
Marshall cared about someone got bit by a bug and pace of place was not his problem at this time,
Teeboxes are run down and for the money id rather stay at home, ive played over 100 different courses in 2025 and this is so bad!
I hope you have all day on the weekends
Played this track twice in the past two weeks. Both on weekends. I know, that’s on me. Other group we were paaired with complained about slow play. They sent out a marshal. He told us it was 15 min per hole pace expectations. But they book tee times every 10 minutes?! You do the math. I like the course and the layout. We were waiting at least 5 min every tee box which was annoying. Will try a weekday and early … hoping for better pace. Wish me luck.
Not As Expected
We played our first round at Angus Glenn and unfortunately the course is in terrible condition. The entire course is bone dry, even the fairways are not in terrible condition. The marshal picked up on of the guys golf balls he had shot and were rushing us only to find that we were waiting for golfers on the next hole. This course has alot of work to do, especially at $200/round. We wont be back.
Decent course close to Toronto
The fairways are wide, greens are slightly challenging and can be slow.
A lot of bunkers.
Good deal if you use the 20% discount code to get the total price below $150.
Anything above that, the course is not worth it imo.
I’ve played here couple of times it used to be better now they are sending people out constantly and the pace of play was just ridiculous took a little over 5 hours to finish the course usually takes me about 4 hours, marshal was coming around telling guys to speed up but when you have guys fishing for balls taking 25 min on a hole it becomes ridiculous at that point I paid 200$ and I was waiting so long to tee off, they need to organize the tee times. Pace of play 4 years ago was solid now it’s just ridiculous.
Would play it again
Decent condition. Greens a little slow. Slightly overpriced IMO. But would like to play it again. And that’s the test of a nice track for me.
Hot Deal price made it acceptable
The course was average at best. If I'd have paid the full price of $170 I'd have been very disappointed. The course layout on the front 9 was not great. The back 9 almost made up for that but the whole course was dried out, the tees were in rough shape and the greens had ball marks all over them.
I doubt I'd return to Angus Glen anytome soon.
Course is OK
Fairways were dry, not manicure the way they used to sand traps had no sand not worth the value
Disappointing - Need to invest in
This course used to be so much better. It doesn't feel like the management actually cares about the product they're offering. An investment into the greens crew would make a world of difference. Greens were slow. Every tee deck was thatchy; time for some aeration and top dressing. Lots of extra growth everywhere; they need to trim back the growth of the "fescue" (read: long grass) around the edges of the hazards.
This course is the best in my life so far.
Everthing is satisfied for me. Great course layout and conditions.
Golf factory
The course conditions do not reflect the expectations of a Canadian Open course.
Something has changed since I last played the south course 28 years ago, previous to the Canadian Opens being played here. I played the North course and the conditions had dandelions growing in the fairways. Not what I had expected of this course. This compares to other courses in the $100-120.00 range. Sad as it was a premier location.
